Bought a $1,600 Industrial Modern desk back in September. It was finally delivered today. Upon arrival, the installation team noted poor construction. They couldn't build it because none of the corresponding bolt holes lined up on the file cabinet. They took it back. When I contacted West Elm online they told me there was no replacement until late January to early February. They then told me that they would just refund me and make me re-purchase the item. I asked for a similar product as a replacement (one that was the same dimensions but with bookshelves) that could be delivered immediately and the rep told me that wasn't possible because their system didn't have a button to press for that to happen. I am left with no desk, my money back, and weeks of time working from my kitchen countertop. West Elm sucks.

Terrible customer service. I will not be ordering anything from west elm, especially from the store again. Hayden chairs arrived with ripples on every single chair (all six) and pull out sofa head is 6” higher than foot. Called store, got run around/no follow up and had to go through a third party for a return. Extremely disappointing.

West Elm Boise location need to work with staff problems and customer services. They said they will email you and call you but they don’t.

Shoutout to two of West Elm Downtown Boise's store managers for completely ghosting my 8+ emails and phone calls for a problem I was ASSURED would be solved. 6 months and $8,000+ of my hard earned money spent, I am still stuck in a nightmare with West Elm and Pottery Barn's nonstop loop of unaccountability. They have nonchalant attitudes towards everything and have clearly forgotten who keeps them in business. I will never give a dollar of my business to these companies again.

Don’t bother shopping here even with a gift card! I bought something on a west elm gift card and it didn’t work out. I returned and found something at one of their other sister stores. When I returned it to the store they don’t carry gift cards so they Mailed me a Giftcard!!!!! Mailed me a gift card that could take 1-3 weeks to get! What a freakin rip off. I can’t believe this store I will never shop here again!!! With my luck I will get my giftcard after Black Friday!

I have had horrible service from this store. Unfortunately, I love their products. I just ordered a mirror online, paid for shipping which was $35.00, didn’t like it. Returned it and paid $35.00 for return shipping. No where did I see this posted when I ordered it. Read all of the fine print. I’m done with this rip off company and very poor customer service. Pathetic!

I’ve had a terrible experience with getting my orders the last two times I’ve ordered from West Elm. Both times it was represented to me that I would receive my furniture within a 5-6 week timeframe and when that timeframe comes and goes I call West Elm and get the runaround about the vendor or the shipping company and then I’m told I can’t return the items because they are custom. Normally I would understand this policy but not when I’m told I will receive something in 5-6 weeks and then that changes to nearly 4 months. This is a terrible way to do business and I’m surprised West Elm does not have a more sophisticated process for getting orders timely delivered. This will be the last time I shop at West Elm. It’s not worth the wait or the hassle.

Ordered a sofa through west elm inAugust. They took my money and never delivered the sofa. Never told me it wasn’t coming. No communication. I have called monthly for updates. Now the holidays are here and I don’t have a sofa for my guests. I would never want to experience this again. Very poor customer service.

Not sure why there are so many negative reviews for Boise West Elm. We have had nothing but great experiences every time we shop here. Even a couple weeks ago, they took time out of a busy weekend to look for an item in the store and put on hold for us to pick up.
