Staff was a huge help with a pre vacation panic with getting same day foreign currency. Taryn (?) was kind and gave fast and informative service. All within the 20minutes of free parking. Thank you!

Thank you for withdrawing your support in the Boise Pride Festival. Our children should not be exposed to drag shows.

Drove through drive-up window to cash a check of $6500 & included my ID. Was told I had to go park my car and walk all the way down the parking garage and elevators and street (2 drunks sitting by the door when I exited) to come inside to cash it because it was a large sum of money. Why? I have no idea other than now it puts my life in jeopardy as a smaller female walking with a big envelope of money out of your bank and down to the street and then through the long, dark parking garage by myself. You have cameras to read license plates, you could’ve asked me some private info, etc. I told the teller that we cashed a $32,000 check in that same drive thru during Covid with no problem but she didn’t care. I told her I didn’t feel safe walking out with that amount of money- she didn’t care. Since there were zero customers in this huge bank at the time (wonder why!), they could’ve at least offered to have someone walk me to my car but nope, they didn’t care about me as their customer. So instead I had to risk my life to get OUR money. I am very close to closing our accounts but we’ve had them for about 15+ years so it wouldn’t be easy. However, I can say my experiences with Zions have become so frustrating over the past 1+ years that we’ve already moved most of our money to a much improved experience with a local credit union.

The Building is so Beautiful from the front, The back looks a bit lacking, Much better than the big hole that was there for years.

My dad had a inheritance check and was very confused of how to go about the whole process because it was such a large amount. The lady on the phone told us to come in and talk to Renee, when we got there they hounded him saying that a photo ID and Social security card wasn't enough, then when were directed to speak to Renee, she got up from her desk and said she was "going to lunch." What in the world!! Zions is suppose to be the "best bank" downtown. MORE LIKE A JOKE! All the ladies were very rude to my poor old pop and made us feel very unwelcome! You lost a customer !!! IT TAKES ZERO DOLLARS TO BE KIND PEOPLE!

Started an account here because it was conveniently located. It was okay to begin with but a bit restrictive. Since then it has gone downhill fast. Deposits are held to long, they closed down the only other location close and the ATM downtown is "temporarily out of service" half the time(I make a lot of night deposits). If you deposit a check on Friday night it is not available until Tuesday which is absurd for banks these days. The website often has issues logging in(definitely not my computer). And it takes days for payments to reflect on your account that take a day or two at very most through other accounts I have.

If you have a choice where you bank, I'd recommend choosing elsewhere. We have two accounts with Zions in Downtown Boise, both of which are related to the a current home build. Without detailing every point of the process I would say that our experience has been sub par at best, but this past week took the cake. Upon receiving our HELOC statement I noticed that a payment that was automatically withdrawn a week prior, and which had been automatically withdrawn for several months before, was showing as defaulted. The check was deposited and I could view it on my bank (the best bank ever, USAA; if you have the option go with them). My husband spent TWO HOURS at Zions and they insisted that someone else must have deposited the check since it didn't have their stamp on the back. Well, after all the wasted time and energy, they in fact found that it was deposited into cyber-bank-space (convenient, right) at a Zion's in Utah, and not into any account, not even, most surprisingly, the one printed on the check. The next day the bank manager called my husband back as promised and assured him that she would follow up with the bank where it was deposited and ensure that no late charges were added. My husband inquired about extending the promotional interest rate of the HELOC for a month given the lost wages and time we spent fixing their mistake, which would equate to $298. Would that make or break us, no, but the sign of good faith and commitment to making it right would have gone a long way. She said that she could call the bank, but not provide any other reparations for a job poorly done. Bravo for making sure my money goes into my account, I guess. I thought that to be a pretty basic banking requirement. The point is, if you have money to loose and time to spare, by all means, choose Zions in Downtown Boise. But if you have a distaste for ineptitude, especially when it comes to your money, I suggest shopping around.

Bank is awful. Wont let you cash your own checks a lot of the time. Within the last two months I've had 3 replacement cards sent to me and two of those put on hold because they didnt recognize the purchase even though it was local (on both occassions) twice I've had customer service hang up on me, and the bank is wayyy too busy/central to take care of your banking needs in an efficient and convenient manner. Big thumbs down. DONT BANK HERE!

I have loved being with Zions bank. They are heavily involved in the community and they are always willing to help when i need it. They don't advertise their community involvement but it is a big part of their bank which helps me to feel good about banking here. They are a leader in technology innovation and are leading the industry in replacing their core systems in a way that no other bank has done, and they are replacing their online and mobile to be formed into one seamless platform to make it better for the customers. I have always felt that they were professional in their dealings with me and wanted to help me in any way they could. These other complaints are policy complaints, a lot of these things they are legally bound to do and they shouldn't be demonized for following protocol in the law.

Since when does a bank charge a fee for cashing one their own checks?
