I brought my 1989 bmw e30 “Abby” in for a new steering rack. The old girl gave up the old one with a lot of kicking and screaming. Mark took the time to make sure the car was done correct. she had issues and they solved them. He must know how to speak some German. Fast and at a great price. The new rack cuts like butter smooth driving. Thank you again

Mark and his team exemplify good, old-fashioned customer service. They were honest and truly wanted to solve the problem rather than throwing parts at something. Wish we lived closer. They would definitely have our business. We'll make sure to keep them in mind when passing through Nampa in the future!

They don't know how to turn check engine lights off here. They tried to get over on my mother by telling her there were things wrong that weren't. They took off a belt and refused to put it back on. Never again.

If yall spent more time actually fixing rigs instead of rebuttals on negative reviews, I reckon more work would actually get done and complaints would go down. Guess that's warranty work for ya. Good day. $2k per star.

I purchased a 2009 f350 in January and have had quite a few repairs in 6 short months of owning it but Mark has been awesome every step of the way. They have gone above and beyond on many occasions including the last. I had an unfortunate incident(I owe them all dinner?) that they fixed that led to needing a new radiator at 2pm on a Thursday…I was leaving for a trip and needed that truck the next morning. Needless to say they had my truck done, gave me a quick mechanic lesson, made sure I had what I needed in case I ran into any problems and triple checked everything to make sure my daughter and I weren’t stranded on the side of the road! The time, effort and care that went into it did not go unnoticed and I’m forever thankful. Truck ran fantastic and we made the 10 hr trip each way without a problem! They literally saved the day…you don’t find this type of service anymore! Highly recommend!

I originally took my 2015 F350 6.7 to a very popular diesel shop in Meridian. They kept my truck for 9 days to diagnose the problem. When I was told 2 days to just look at it. This was Horrible, then they came back with a $3000 dollar repair on the def and egr system. And that was just to start. cause it might not fix it he said. Ouch!! I said I'll bring it back when I get the money. I truly felt something was not right unfortunately i felt like i was being scammedI called Mark at Ray's and he said bring it now let's look at it now.. No 9 days later just to look at it. Lol.. I went ahead and took it to Ray's Diesel automotive for a second opinion. Mark at Rays said we need to break this down slowly and see where the problem is, not just throw a bunch of parts at it..that right there told me a lot about this shop and Mark. I truly think he cares about the service they provide. Long story short, my truck was showing on the computer that it was 113% a clogged system. this is really bad. 1 air filter 1 or 2 force regen plus top off the coolant for egr valve. Mark said, "Come back in a week, and let's look at it again."Mark did another forced regen and said come back again in a week. Come to find out, the aftermarket air filter was causing some back pressure into the egr valve and causing the problem. Mark said, "Please only use OEM filters or it could cause more serious problems.. i.Came back to the shop to hook the computer one more time. There was no engine light, and the computer said i was running perfectly.. The truck runs really strong now, stronger than I could ever remember. Everthing cost me $200 bucks. Not 3k. Mark at Rays saved me a boat load of money, just a overall great experience. totally recommend you going to Ray's for your repairs especially those technical ones. They just dont throw parts it like some shops do.Best regards Jay Gomez

I wouldn't know how the service or shop is since we went in and stood for quite some time without acknowledgment. One guy was on the phone so that's understandable , but 3 others on the other side talking without as much as a hello or we will be with you soon or anything. Working in customer service myself I wasn't impressed. Maybe they would pay more attention to a man who walked in.

The first time I called Rays and talked to Mark, I was having issues with my AC not working intermittently in my 7.3L diesel F250. I explained that I had narrowed it down to one sensor, but it was my understanding that I needed a shop to vacuum the AC system so I could install the part before having it re-charged. Mark was kind enough to inform me that there was no need. The sensor screws onto a Schrader valve so no refrigerant will be lost. Sure enough I was able to do the simple job myself. They earned my business that day and I have had them look after my old 7.3L power stroke a few times now. If you’re looking for a good diesel shop, this place is it.

Been there three times for repairs. The last one was pretty major. They saved my motor. Matt was always on top of it and letting me know what was going on. I highly recommend Rays I wouldn't go anywhere else they do autos too.

Ray's is the place to go for your repairs. They always go above and beyond, even for our Miata's that like to challenge them. Out of 6 cars only 1 has not been here, and that is only because it is kids project car and he is doing it all himself. Cannot recommend any other repair shop.

Ray's Auto is magnificent!! Matt spoke to me honestly, answering questions, and listening to what I had to say. I had gotten three quotes for the work my Kia needed ranging from $2,300 to $1,500 just for servicing the transmission and changing the oil. Ray's did it for $1,200 AND resurfaced my headlights, fixed a tail light, and something I've forgotten! They always kept me in the loop. I knew what was going on the entire time. They are absolutely amazing.

Ray’s Diesel is THE only place I will take my cars and pickups! I used to own a 2010 Dodge Ram 3500 and it needed NOX sensors. Mark (He is the man behind the machine, AWESOME Guy) quoted me at 5 hours labor. 2 1/2 hours later he called and said my pickup was ready. He immediately returned 2 1/2 hours labor back on my card! I love the honesty. I brought it in for all of the oil changes and not once did he tell me I needed anything. It only had 48,000 miles so I expected that but his honesty is greatly appreciated! Then I bought a 2008 Chevy Silverado with 157,000 miles on it and I brought it to him to to do my oil changes, fuel filter, coolant flush and trans flush and filter. He once again was so honest and told me that the trans fluid was bright and didn’t need changed but they replaced the filters. His prices are great, all ASE certified techs who are great, and He as the owner personally goes through and does the third and final inspection. Can’t say enough about this place! Go to Rays across from Home Depot in Nampa!

I am beyond excited to have my car back!!! This shop has helped me a handful of times when I made the mistake of taking it elsewhere…I took it to a very highly rated shop near my house & they were VERY friendly, but unfortunately besides them hating working on a Range Rover, they couldn’t figure out what was wrong. They would diagnose it and I would wait and pay only to get it back still with warning lights and driving terribly. They finally quoted me $4k to replace something & I decided to take it back to Ray’s and see what they said. Mark is awesome. He figured it out and it was under $2k. After not having a car the last 2 months, it’s great to have it back and running so well! I’m just so relieved and think their team did a great job. The other time I used Ray’s was after taking it to the dealership ? so I found the shop online and they gave me a quote way below dealerships. Fully recommend this shop, except I don’t want too many people using them as they already are very busy!

Took my truck in with a check engine light on and he gave it back with two more lights on… had him fix my breaks because they were starting to grind and he gave it back with my truck grinding every time brakes were applied and she turning to the right. Over priced. Shame the owner lies about the response. You gave bad service and that’s it. I didn’t say “why would I pay for parts and not the labor”. I know how things work, no need to lie man. The other parts I had someone more qualified fix them. My point is to let people know that it’s overpriced for bad service

This review is about the U-Haul aspect of this shop. They added an invalid charge, and I would not rent from here again! Wasted a lot of my time to rectify; U-Haul customer service removed the charge and said this one was on the shop, not U-Haul.
