Tried to get paint on Wednesday at 1:30 (10/9). No one available at desk, customer service called for someone. First call went to a phone the employee left on the counter, she then called over store speaker, still no help. As we were leaving her only comment was "sorry guys, I called". Where is customer service now days?

Pocatello and Chubbock must have a larger theft problem than what I’m used to in Southern California. Every product over $20 is locked up in this store and it is extremely inconvenient to find someone to help. Just save yourself some time and go to ACE, instead or buy on Amazon.

I have given this place sooo much business in the last year. They wouldn't accept my return without a receipt or the card I used today. It was an EXPENSIVE return! Ill take my business elsewhere as much as possible from now on. UPDATE 09/11/2024- idk why I keep coming back to this place! Want to know how to get the home Depot staff to ignore you? Have purple hair! The 2 guys in electrical helped everyone besides me. Talked to everyone besides me. Greeted everyone besides me. I made eye contact and got a 'look' went to a different part of the store and asked the staff where the caulk was and he sent me to the lumber area (when it's unmistakeably on the other side of the store in a huge section. The dude obviously knew where it was and sent me elsewhere. He didn't want to talk to me. Another associate told me "ask someone else" - I know I am in Idaho and a lot of people here don't like people with long hair or purple hair. I often receive flack from the public, but to get it from associates at a store seems to cross the line. The girl at the self checkout was awesome. Only employee in the store that treated me like a human being. from 2 stars to 1.

Ryan was very helpful in finding the traffic cones needed by the Pocatello Marathon. There were plenty on hand and he helped me carry them our to the truck.

Terrible customer service! 1/4 associates I spoke to were helpful. The others could use a serious attitude check, Specially, the associate in customer service. 3/4 of associates treated me as if I were dumb and didn’t know what I was asking, or blind, as if I could not see the product that did not exist on the shelf.
On the Home Depot website, it lists a product that come to find out doesn’t even exist in any of the stores. I went to the plumbing section looking for a 6 inch PVC pipe. The older gentleman in that area said,” Oh, it’s there! You didn’t see it!?” I said,” No, I didn’t see it. I’m not wanting perforated pvc drainage pipes”. He assured me they were there, then walked off and vanished the second later without physically showing me where it is (it wasn’t there or anywhere).
The woman in customer service was the rudest. The customer before me was trying to return something and she was annoyingly telling him they don’t accept returns without the receipt. I doubt that’s the rule because most places will either give an in store credit or look it up based on the card used. That customer walked away upset not able to make a return. Then it was my turn. She spoke down to me and treated me like an idiot, even though I showed her on my phone, on the Home Depot website, the product listed. She kept assuring me that it was the location that I had wrong in my search; that I needed to change the location of the search to Pocatello. I didn’t necessarily care because I just wanted to either order it or find out where locally it was. She muddled some things under her breath and annoyingly typed in the SKU. Five minutes later, I figured out this wasn’t helping either. If you’d like her name, you can contact me Home Depot.
Then, on my way walking out, the front door greeter asked me if I was able to find everything OK. I said no I wasn’t able to. She asked if she could help. So I started to explain and somehow she lost interest and started talking to another customer who just walked in and did not acknowledge anything that I said after. Good thing I go to Lowe’s. What a terrible experience.

I needed a new refrigerator because mine went out. I went to Home Depot. The salesman said it would talke 9 days to get one because they don't keep them in stock. I should have went to Lowes right then.
My fridge finally arrived, but it didn't fit through my kitchen doorway (that was my error). I said to take it back, but the delivery guy said I could just take the trim off the side of my frame in the doorway and get it in l. He said I also had 48 hours to return it. I regretfully chose to keep it. Shortly after they left, I noticed my wall overlaps the trim, so taking off the trim would do no good. I quickly called the phone # they gave me to return it. I asked if I could quickly order a new one and use the credit from the old one. She said I would have to get a refund and order separately. Also, they couldn't pick up the fridge for 6 days. The refund process won't start til after they pick it up and then will take 7 business days to receive the refund (over 2 weeks total)!
I went to Lowes that day. They got me a fridge in 2 days! The sales lady asked if I paid a delivery fee to Home Depot. I said yes , $50. She said Lowes is only $30, but she would waive the fee since I paid HD. So nice!
I have always went to HD, but now I am a Lowes girl! My really old air conditioner went out a few days after I got my fridge. I purchased one Lowes!

After having one of the worst weeks, our cv joint broke in my car and two days later our fuel pump went out in our other car. I was beyond frustrated but the universe wasn't done our dryer finally died the same week. I was officially going to lose my mind, between getting both cars fixed the idea of having to go shopping for a dryer was too much to even think about. We decided to go to home depot and start there. Best choice! Nate M, in the chubbuck store helped us. He was amazing, Right out the gate, he let us know that we would be looking at all washing machines in store, but they sold their counterparts online he Immediately offered to pull up the dryers so that we could just look at them first hand not trying to guess what they would look like by the washing machine. I told him that I knew it was a long shot. But I had bought a washing machine 2 or 3 years ago and I would really like to get the matching dryer. I showed him the model I had and asked him if hed show me the closest thing that he would have in store. He walked right over to my washing machine. I have never been happier after letting him know that we'd like to take it. He started explaining about the delivery, any fees associated, times to be expected. Made sure to let us know that we could save additionally if we opted into a Lowe's credit card. After we had made the purchase, I then started to inquire about some of the AI. Technology, something that completely goes over my head. He explained to me the difference between how the AI works in the washing machine, showed me different features on refrigerators. He was just incredibly personable. I didn't feel rushed or like I was bothering him. He's a kind of employee that makes people come back to the same store. I already thanked him repeatedly in the store and I doubt he'll see this post, but if he does, thank you again Nate, you made the entire experience less painful.
