“The lending department is amazing to work with as they help me overcome difficult obstacles that shouldn’t have been there in the first place. Best financial institution ever!”
“Stacey Bacon and Chet Lackey made the experience smooth and efficient. They were so responsive, open to our many questions, and took the time to ensure we understood each step. We had a tight time line from the point we sold our house and needed a new home and this team made it happen!”
“I’m 68 and was having trouble logging in, moving money, and figuring out my CDs. When I called ICCU, Samara answered and patiently walked me through everything step by step. She explained things clearly and never made me feel foolish for asking questions. By the end of the call, everything was working and I had learned a lot. I’m very grateful Samara was the one who helped me—she’s a wonderful customer service representative.”
“I’ve banked with ICCU for roughly 20 years. Bought my first truck and first house through them. Their rates have not always been number one but they have usually been competitive. It’s the customer service and flexibility that made them stand out. However, recently at the start of a military deployment I asked that ICCU lower my interest rates under the SCRA federal act. Even with the correct paperwork and advanced notice, they took several months to initiate it. Then once they did, they told me I had to continue paying the same overall amount, but that the difference in savings—based on the new adjusted interest rate—would go towards the principle all because of escrow and other processing reasons. This never sounded right because it defeated the purpose of the law which is to alleviate financial hardship for service members and their families. I called ICCU multiple times, over multiple months, while in a combat zone, but got no where. I finally spoke with Navy Federal Credit Union representatives and my base legal team who all advised me that this was illegal. Long story short, I finally reached a service center supervisor named Monica Aguilar and she not only resolved the issue, she took care of me retroactively. Like really took care of me. She made ICCU live up to its name as a true credit union. She helped them avoid a lawsuit, bad press, and lost business. ICCU has to remember it’s a small fish in a big pond and that even with decent rates and accessibility, their true value is how they treat the customers and actually listen and get things done. Monica took that seriously and kept my business and I’ll continue to recommend ICCU to friends and family with people like Monica at the helm.”
“Excellent Credit Union, but the lines at the Yellowstone branch have been excessively long lately, pretty unacceptable in my opinion. They need to hire more staff”
