Pine Ridge Mall is an important part of the community, offering a decent option with some nice things, including younger people shops and a few family oriented businesses. It is used as an indoor workout area in addition. Visitors stop at stores like Hobby Lobby for items such as iron on letters and patches, often found at good prices. However, the mall is not as nice or as populated as others. The parking area needs serious attention, requiring resurfacing, an asphalt seal coat, and new stripping. There are complaints about parking, with one school not providing adequate space and using a reserved lot very clearly marked with signs, cones, and barriers. Some wish to bring back the mall like the days when it was cool and the food midway was full of people. Occasional issues with security have been noted regarding service animals. Overall, it is the only mall and needs some love.
