Fossil Bowl offers a unique experience digging for raw gemstones and fossils. The staff are described as friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, gracious, and honest. Visitors can find an extraordinary amount of beautiful fossils and many garnets, though the process can break some fossils, which some find frustrating. The activity is a great way to spend a few hours, highly recommended for schools and families. Plan to get your hands dirty and bring newspaper to wrap finds so they do not dry too fast and curl. The attached campsite feels very safe. Many guests report having a blast and plan to return.
