This place is an absolute joke! They need to change their name because you can’t even speak to an American! They put a “monitor “ on our tanks that supposedly alert them when we get low . We started getting alerts on our furnace so we had our heating company do two very expensive emergency visits before they realized both of our 1000 gal tanks were completely empty! Tried calling our local ameri gas and you get a call center that you can get absolutely no answer from , finally got a person we couldn’t even understand and they simply didn’t care that we were out of propane! They verified that their monitor was not working but refused to take blame ! We can even get a straight answer of when we can expect a delivery! We have been with this joke of a company for over 25 years and as soon as we can get tanks changed out we will be done with them!!! Stay away

This must by far the worst customer service company that exist in the USA. We have called customer service 3 times in the last 3 days not including all the other calls in the past. The last 3 days have averaged 60 minutes and average of 3 transfers each time only to be hung up on on the 4th transfer each day. We now believe its by design to wear the customer out to quit trying to resolve issue.Our neighbor has just cancelled their new service after less than 1 year due to the bait and switch price tactic of Amerigas and had the same consistent phone issues with customer service.We go online and see every consumer sites rating Amerigas have no more than a 1.3 at the highest out of 5 stars at Consumer service. Hundreds and hundreds of reviews describing the same nightmare we have gone through. It cannot be a surprise to you that another dissatisfied customer is writing a note like this.I have no faith this will go anywhere and we have already posted on Facebook about our experiences and buyers beware when doing business with you. When we changed from our old long term propane provider they warned us about doing business with Amerigas. We thought they were just blowing smoke but they understated the depth of the deception us and our neighbor would experience with bait and switch tactics.the question you asked was did we provide 5 star service, I don't even want to give you a one star but there's no zero available.

Their propane costs are outrageous. Over double what nearby competitors are charging. Horrible telephone customer service. Only bright spot was the delivery guy!

Customer service is lacking big time. There's a wait to get a non-English as a first language speaking person. It's frustrating to try to deal with Amerigas!

Tried to get AmeriGas to service my propane tank. They gave me a ridiculous questionnaire that asked what I use propane for at my residence. I only heat with it. They said that wouldn't meet their use requirement?? I typically spend over $2,000 a year for propane with that heating system, it's quite extensive. I think you need to revise your system I see why you get a lot of 1 star ratings

So I bought a house had a propane tank on it with a AmeriGas , Fruitland. I get home after four days being gone and they took my propane tank after I’d already paid for it to be filled and everything was done last month. I have been on the phone with customer service all morning and they cannot give me an ETA on bringing my tank back out that was full when they took it. They obviously don’t update their dispatches, so they know that the tank was not supposed to be removed. They’re awful to get a hold of. There’s nobody to talk to other than somebody overseas. At this point I’m ready to look for a local service where I can actually speak to somebody. If you need propane, please look other places. Their customer service is absolutely awful. They gave no notice in taking the tank that I just paid to have filled. And I just got off the phone with them and it’ll be 1 to 4 days before they bring it back. I dispatched fuel for a living in the whole Northwest, and never in my life had a company. Tell me they couldn’t get a hold of their service tech to give me an ETA.

Nothing worked as it should.1. I am unable to complete the customer registration process. When I click on the button to sign the customer agreement, nothing happens. It just "spins" and never finishes. I have tried with multiple devices, multiple times over a period of weeks.2. Customer service was no better. Very, very slow and ineffective.3. The voice message notifying me of upcoming delivery was generic with no dates or times.4. As a result of #3 I was not present when the delivery happened, so the leak test could not be completed. This requires an additional appointment.5. When speaking to customer service (#2), I specifically requested only 150 gallons added to my 500 gallon tank. It is summer and I don't have much demand at this time. That information was either not passed on or disregarded. Now my tank is completely full even though it was supposed to be half full. If I had been present when the delivery was made, I could have prevented this.
