We're from Arizona and came to Gooding to see family. We were looking for a good place for breakfast and stumbled on the Western Cafe. It's just plain delicious home cooked meals. My husband had Sam's Omelette and I had simple scrambled eggs with hash browns. Both meals were so huge we had to take half home. We told Sam, the owner, that we would be back tomorrow. He was quite surprised that we actually did come back. My husband heard him mention that the gravy was made daily which enticed him to come back so soon. Well, the biscuits and gravy were very good. On a side note, we noticed that most of the customers were regulars which sold us as well.

Wonderful food and great service!!Parking: Approximately seven on street parking places; occasionally more.Kid-friendliness: Very kind to children.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to wheel in chairs.The servers will remove chairs if needed.

It don't get better that this place. Food is past amazing. Fresh and quick. Chicken fried steak is by far the tops.There omelets as a 10.Great

Food was good, but it’s a small restaurant with 10 tables. They had three servers in and it took almost an hour to put in our order and get our food. Be prepared to spend all morning there.

Buffalo chicken sandwich and sweet potato fries from the Western is my favorite Saturday morning brunch!! We love the family that run it too!Kid-friendliness: Sam is great with my kids!

So I don't know what people are talking about when they say "musty smell".. it's a cute little small place to eat breakfast and lunch.. if you want a fancy non smelly place maybe at home is where you should stay.. I enjoyed the ambience and the food was good and the portions they served were very nice!! Over all it was a nice place to eat and head off to our next adventure! I can't say enough about the service.. everyone was super sweet and kind, that's exactly what you expect at a small family owned restaurant.

My family actually calls western cafe "Sam's". Why? Because Sam is the main waiter and has 100/100 service. The food is always amazing with great customer service. Awesome locally owned restaurant.
