Went in there at 12:35 & the girl that was working closed 20 min early or more to count the money from the register it seems like because it says they close at 1 & she closed way early, Really not appreciate it

I went in there after midnight, just got off work, it was just me and one other person getting gas. The guy upfront likes to play this game where he doesn’t know what number the pumps are. It’s cold. I have to go inside to pay cash. Help a sister out. My car is blocking the number but right in front of the door. The problem is, I remember talking to him months before (I don’t usually use this gas station and now remember why) and he told me he does know the pump numbers but people say the wrong one and he doesn’t want to deal with it. Needless to say, I said the wrong number even though it was right in front of the door and he just straight up told me he didn’t know the number. This guy has worked here for months and months, he knows the pump numbers. This is his game and this is his customer service. Not very nice in my opinion.

First I'll share relevant facts about this establishment. Many needed semi-emergency items ie gasoline, diesel, propane, Ice, soda, candy, canned food, crackers, milk, frozen meals, wine, beer and coffee.Do not expect to be treated well, or with any appreciable amount of customer service here.For example, at the north location an employee stated there was a special on a certain brand, it was a buy 3 get a discount. BUT, since the AMOUNT shown on the credit card terminal was NOT discounted, I decided to ask again, tonight -here at Base Camp Hailey.The employee was an older man who was outside smoking the first time I saw him.Then there is loud club music playing as the store front door is opened.Then a need to wait for the man to walk back behind the counter.Then wait for him to address you.The question was, "Is there a discount on this brand, I was told there was using your special "KICKBACK" card at the Base Camp River Run location?"He asked me the name of the other employee, I told him where the other employee's location was, (customers don't need to memorize that information)He knew nothing of the special or the discount, so how does knowing a name matter?He quickly interrupts, "which items do you want?" I don't appreciate being cutoff mid-sentence (customer service habit at this location, if an employee doesn't want to listen, they interrupt.)I mentioned two selections and started to explain that I'll take a 3rd if the discount is IN FACT real. He ignores that rings up one item, rings up the second item.Then quickly scolds me "not yet" because I simply was removing a "KICKBACK card." Impatience is a typical quality of the customer service at this location.I told him, no, I'm not doing anything with the card yet.The man forgets there needs to be a 3rd item so he blurts out "what else do you want!?"I take a breath and tell him. He gets it and rings it up, HOWEVER he is staring at a screen that customers cannot easily see.He quotes a discounted price, but the credit card terminal shows the NON-Discounted price.These situations are frustrating for CUSTOMERS and it is not a un-forseen annoyance to EMPLOYEES that employees 'get' to become rude to customers about.They need to be decent, write a note, and TAKE IT TO THEIR MANAGERS.Instead, the man decides he has full clearance to continue to be borderline belligerent, he interrupts me again mid-sentence as I'm trying to state that the total is showing incorrectly.I ask if my card is going to be charged the correct amount, and this simple question really gave the man license to be more condescending.He blurts out, "just put your card in." Just really making the process difficult.The moment the card goes into the machine, the 'total' gets updated.Helpfully, I tell him, "you can tell customers the total will update once the card is put in." He blankly stares at me.I share with him that I have experience with programming user interfaces like these.But really, I'm a customer so my comments relate to my experiences and the experiences of others, not how they work.He blurts out "don't reprogram our machines."I said something to the affect of "that's going too far."Then he blurts out "I know how these machines work too."In a disjointed way he loudly and exaggeratedly says "have a gooooood evening" in an over-the-top way.That last part was the impetus for taking the time to write about the experience.My recommendation is that you visit when there are other individuals in the store, because these types of difficult experiences here occur as if it is a supervision or management-lacking issue.

I've seen a few complaints about closing early and they are well warranted it's completely random when they just decide to close at like 11 instead of 1 am like it's posted I get off work at around midnight and they're closed when I get off work very often

Online hours listed are either wrong or this old guy closed too early. Not to mention hours listed on business says Sun-Sat 5am-1am an this guy closed store before 11:30 pm. This is ridiculous and uncalled for & something needs to be done about this. Watching so many people expecting them to be open as hours listed an this guy ignoring all of us even after showing hours posted on window & online too.

Air machine for tires has been out of order for 6 months. Don't buy gas here.

The only thing I will miss about Hailey, Idaho. is this great little placd. Friendly, great service, reasonable prices.
