I paid for my mailbox key to be replaced in october and was told it would take around thirty days. It is now March and I still am getting the same 2 week answer to when will I get my keys. Everytime I go to get my mail there is a line of about 10ish customers and following out the door. I would like to think its because people are working and sorting mail in the back but its so quiet you can hear a pin drop. I have asked for the postmaster to call me so she can give me an update on the situation herself but I am considering other alternatives at this point. I would give less than 1 star if I could.On a better note: The people who are delivering your mail are very helpful, very kind, and are the only redeeming quaility of the mail system in idaho falls.

This is the worst USPS location. I feel ashamed for Idaho Falls to have to endure this service. The Post Master of Idaho Falls is failing our community. We have packages delivered that were completely destroyed one after another. They have also refused to send letters that match the USPS guidelines, they requested more postage. When I went in they were clearly able to send it through their measure of device with ease and no additional force. Because it was a simple hallmark card. They ALSO refused to deliver a LETTER to us because they claimed it needed additional payment. However, we had the receipt from the USPS post office it was mailed from proving the payment had ALREADY been paid. Their argument was null yet they still refused to give us the letter. We chose to return to sender, they had to spend more money to send it all the way back. It’s ridiculous. Just look at these packages. Packages are scanned and a picture is send to us when it arrives at the Idaho Falls center. Then these are the pictures of it arriving at our house. Proving Idaho Falls postal workers are the problem.

I have tried multiple times to contact them regarding getting mail from 2 blocks away. And getting my mail from many other people. These guys don't care obviously.

These imbeciles are so utterly useless. They have lost SEVEN pieces of my mail in the last 2 years--including four that were bill payments. I've filled out "missing mail" requests, yet USPS never finds a dang thing (BIG surprise...not). I've called the branch about this issue more than once, as I'm sick to death of my mail getting lost and of having to repeatedly pay stop payment fees on my checks because of USPS's total incompetence. Their solution was to tell me that I should really start sending everything by Certified Mail. So, let me get this straight.... instead of USPS actually doing its dang job and--heaven forbid!--managing to get the mail TO and FROM the proper addresses, they expect me to pay even more money top of of rampant inflation in order to, hopefully, ensure that they actually get my mail to where it needs to go?? Seriously?? I absolutely hate the government and these corrupt bureaucrats more and more every single day. This is just completely pathetic, and there's NO excuse whatsoever for anyone doing their dang job this horribly.

I know people primarily review when they’re upset about something, but the person who delivers my mail always goes above and beyond and tries to make things as easy as possible for me (I am disabled). I wanted to post this review in the hopes that more people will review because they are happy :)

This office is a joke! We had scheduled a passport appointment. We had email confirmation for the appointment. When we arrived, we noticed a hand written note stating the passport office would be closed from the 1st - 16th. I made the appointment on the 5th, so I figured that they wouldn’t allow me to schedule an appointment if not open. We waited outside the door in full view of the postal clerk. Not once did he acknowledge us or tell us the office was closed. Inn fact he didn’t even make ey contact. Simply rude and unprofessional. Completely unacceptable. If it wasn’t the only postal office in town I wouldn’t ever step foot in the building. As far as being able to make an appointment. An email would have been nice notifying us of the appointment being canceled would have been nice. We wasted our entire morning.

Date: 04/03/23 These guys are always messing up my package deliveries and I can’t ever get somebody on the phone to talk to about it. Today they put my package on my neighbors doorstep. Can these delivery people not read? Are they too lazy and don’t care? Either way get your stuff together. At least take some pride in your work. This reflects more on the ones who hire them than the actual hire.

I would suggest never ever using their mail system if you can avoid it. Very Very slow to get anything to you and will have packages go all of the place instead of straight to the desired location. Absolutely worst mailing service

This isn't so much about the office itself as it is about their package pickup service. I work full time and am an eBay seller on the side. I started scheduling online pickups in 2022 and it went smoothly in the beginning, but for the past few months they've been failing to pick up my packages. I haven't moved, I am not putting them in different spots, they're on the porch with a note like they always are. But I keep getting emails that 'package pickup was unsuccessful because the package was not found.' Really?? I get missing a pickup once in awhile but this is happening over and over again. What's going on? How much more obvious can I make it?Now I have to rush over and drop off packages myself because I can't trust them. Thanks a lot.

Gmail, text, phone calls are just some of the ways I commune long distance to those across the globe, and it is all a simple way of communicating! But I discovered this so called “postal office” where you can send written letters that take multiple days to arrive to their target!Why in the world would I rely on text, Gmail, or phone calls to commune long distance instantly when I can send written letters over the course of days! I’m telling you guys you gotta try this new way of communication!

One of my packages says it has been out for delivery for almost 3 days now, another said it was delivered in my mailbox, but the mailbox was empty. I'm certain it wasn't stolen because I live in a complex with a locked mail box. When I tried to talk to the post man he was extremely rude. Overall very disappointed
