They refuse to provide a prescription number for a schedule 4 medication to be filled elsewhere after new insurance was determined to be out of network. I recommend Mike’s pharmacy for far better prices and customer service.

Terrible service. I wanted to return a product o bought from a Walgreens in Rexburg. They told me that Walgreens cannot return items bought from different locations. On the receipt it states that you can return to ANY WALGREENS NATIONWIDE - so I was confused at the dismissive attitude. They do carry the item I purchased in store, the staff member just told me it cannot be done and I have to go back to the original Walgreens I bought it at. Which is a lie! I went to a different Walgreens, down the road and they made the exchange - BECAUSE ITS ON THE RECEIPT THAT IT CAN BE DONE!

The pharmacy clerk and pharmacist were awful. The clerk opened the window for service, my 75 year old mother walked up (she was the only one in line), & the clerk (tall, blondish, female) told her to step back. She placed in the cash drawer into the register and in 30 seconds (in a more pleasant tone) said, "How can I help you?" Wouldn't a "Good morning ma'am, I will be right with you." been more customer oriented? Or better yet, put the drawer in the register & THEN open the window for business been the better option?
Nevertheless, the tone was condescending, & as we waited, we had issues. The doctor's office said they called in 2 scripts, while the same clerk said they one received 1. It was time-consuming, & while we waited & I spoke to my mother about the issue, the clerk was inserting herself into OUR conversation. Not to mention, my mother is 75 & SICK & needs her medications (& we were visiting from out of state) waiting as this clerk & the pharmacist are talking and chatting about tik tok videos and telling the doctor's office there is a 4 hour wait for the missed med.
The clerk & pharmacist would work & chat. We waited and discussed what to do, wait 4 hours or leave. I called my cousin, with whom we had plans. I explained the situation as to our delay. As a local & a nurse, she mentioned that this Walgreens Pharmacy was not good; I see that now on the 2.7 rating, but would not have known that before.
The young and imature clerk heard me speaking to my cousin (she did not know all the facts) but unprofessionally, loudly and speaking over the client at her register, she yelled out to us, sitting on the chairs waiting. She felt the need to defend herself. She should have professionally apologized and let us know they were working on the issue. My mother (at the same time) was trying to explain the situation to the pharmacist (that the dr called in 2 scripts, we had one now but needed the other, the Dr's office office said they told them it would be a 4 hour wait, we were sitting there, should we leave or could they fill the script...). The pharmacist told her he would have it in 15 mins.
In the meantime, the rep is yelling at me to defend herself while I am speaking to my cousin.... I caught some of what she was saying and replied back (from my waiting room chair, with the phone in my hand, and over the poor client who turned around). Imagine?????
Anyhow, I spoke loudly and told the rep that no one was speaking to her. She said that I had been speaking about her. Yes, I am explaining a story to my cousin, and you are a part of the story... Well. I have to assume that this young clerk has never heard of do unto others as you would have them do unto you. She yelled back, threw a tantrum, left the counter (client in front of her), yelled at the pharmacist and me, that she would not tolerate this, and stormed off. Huh???? Yes, this happened.
Meantime the store manager comes over. The loud exchange has stopped, but she now can witness. The pharmacist tells my mother to go away. He tells her he will not fill the order because of me. What????? Yes, he says he will call it anywhere but that he will not fill it. The store manager is watching. I tell my mother that we can leave, like my local/nurse, cousin suggested. Mom, however, wanted Walgreens as this is a nationwide chain she knows. Her card is on file for payment, and her Medicare benefits are coordinated through Walgreens. Imagine my sick, 75 year old mother, which is now extremely upset.
I walked away from the pharmacist, and my mother stayed and begged him, yes she begged him to fill the script. I began speaking to the store manager. I asked if she managed the pharmacist & that staff, as expected, she said no. I thanked her for the courtesy of her store staff and then told her I was certain she must know that the clerk had i

Teresa is AWESOME! She is literally the only one that works there that is friendly! All the other ladies that work there seem to have a chip on their shoulder. Teresa is the only reason I shop there at all! She's a an absolutely great example of how customer service workers should be!!!

Seriously just an awful pharmacy. I've never had anything but issues with them. I very rarely used them because of their reputation but once in a while it was necessary. A few years ago I had a nightmare experience with them, severe pain (that I was hospitalized for), and a prescription for a strong pain killer. It took 2 hours for them to fill the script *after* they recieved said script from my oncologist's office (i had been told it would take 30 minutes). I was crying hysterically from pain by the end of the ordeal, and I have an insanely high pain tolerance. Like my son was born via C-section and I never needed pain medication outside of the ibuprofen. So I avoided this place like the plague after that incident, but after Fred Meyer's pharmacy went into the garbage I needed another pharmacy in town so I decided to go back to this Walgreens. Stupid, I know. I told myself the incident years ago was a one off and using it this time around would be fine. Well my Dr sent in a script, I headed over to the store to go in and either get my account reactivated or whatever was needed for them to fill the script and I was told they hadn't gotten it yet and I would have to come back after their lunch break. Oh boy. So I took my kid to lunch, took him to a park and after the hour and a half I called the pharmacy to see if they had gotten the script from my Dr's office yet and if so, had it had been filled. Nobody answered, so I had to drive back to the store and go in, just to be told that no, they didn't have anything. So I called my Dr's office and the head nurse confirmed the script had been sent over 2 hours prior but she would resend it since there seemed to have been a problem. OK. Well my kid is pissed and tired at this point (he's 5 at this time), so I decide I'm just gonna go home and try to get the script later. I signed up for their texting service so I would know when it had been filled and could get it without wasting time. I never got that text. That day, that is. I did recieve a text 2 weeks later saying I had an script ready for pick up and by this time I'd had to have my Dr send the script to a different pharmacy elsewhere, so I had forgotten that this Walgreens might've had it and called to find out what was going on. When they told me what the script was for, I was even more confused. I asked when they had recieved the script (wondering if my Dr's office had made a mistake or something of the kind and the person on the other end of line fell silent for a bit (presumably checking the date), and I hear "uuuuuhhhhhh, looks like it was sent in [date from 2 weeks ago]". Like what? I confirmed the date and said I no longer needed said script and hung up. 2 weeks. For an eye drop script that comes already made and in a bottle, in a box, ready to go. Absolutely ludicrous. This staff is clearly very disorganized and uncaring, possibly lazy and poorly educated as well, I'm not sure on that, but it seems very likely with all my experiences here. Will again avoid this pharmacy like the plague. I wouldn't be surprised to hear they messed up badly enough to seriously harm or even kill someone with their negligence.

The management is Rude, they do not care if they pass off customers and customer service leaves so much to be desired that I would rather deal with jack the ripper. I have been going to this place for prescriptions for over a decade and have never had a problem with the Pharmacy but the store is supported by that pharmacy and it's the management of the overall store that are profiting from the Pharmacy. So sadly I would not ever go to this location.

Teresa is delightful, I had pushed the photo booth button for assistance and she promptly let me know she was on her way. Little did I know the button continued to ring making me seem impatient but she was really quick and helpful. She was also juggling multiple registers and I loved her energy. Makes me want shop here more often :)
