Harriman State Park is a beautiful historical park that offers a variety of outdoor activities year-round, including fishing, hiking, biking, and cross-country skiing. The park features well-maintained trails, with over 20 miles available for biking, making it a favorite among visitors. Wildlife watching is a popular activity, especially during winter when swans can be seen enjoying the park's "hot tub." Visitors have praised the staff for being friendly and helpful, especially during guided trail rides. However, some reviews mention concerns about horse manure on the trails, which detracts from the experience, although this issue is not seen as the park's fault. Facilities are available for rent in both winter and summer, and the park is known for its stunning sunsets and sunrises. Public restrooms are provided, but they are basic outhouses. Overall, Harriman State Park is a great destination for outdoor enthusiasts looking for a peaceful and scenic environment.
Beautiful and cold just the way I like it. I love Island Park, now I just need to make a few million dollars so I can live there.

Great place for year-round fun and adventure. We have visited there every year for many years. Winter ... cross-country skiing. Summer ... hiking, camping in yurts.

Really not much snow on the ground at this point. But it's still fun to hike on the trails.
