This was my go to place before I moved and now that I'm back I was so excited to come back and have my favorite foods. But it's not as good as I remember. I ordered the Reuben which was my go to sandwich and it was really dry. The lemon vinaigrette on my salad was wayyyy too lemony, it was overpowering. My husband ordered the burger medium and it was well done and chewy. I also ordered the Sunday Morning Paper, my favorite and it had too much lemon sour which watered it down and made it taste like lemon tomato juice. Then I ordered a vodka soda and the club soda was flat. I'll try again another day and hopefully it'll all be back to their usual excellence. Servers and bartenders were great, very attentive despite being busy.

Love the drinks here, fun drink list, usually good options for draft beer. Atmosphere is really nice too, though can be loud. Service is usually ok. Food is nothing to write home about.

Wow, another feather in Bardenay's cap! Only place in the whole town that offers a brunch! I understand since COVID how it is very difficult to offer a buffet, but I sure do miss them. So initially I was put off when they didn't have one, as most establishments have resorted to menu brunches, I'm used to it. Little did I know that this would be the best made to order brunch I've had in years, (Believe it or not, including Las Vegas!) They use a basque-style chorizo sausage in their egg dishes that, I must say, is transcendent in its delicate nature, compared to most heavy, rich Mexican chorizo sausages, (which I love!). And the Grand Marnier French toast is to die for! They even offer levels of crispness to the bacon. Veteran Nicole was mentoring Ruben, a noob server. They both tag-teamed very well, to enable me to please my wife on her birthday, (which is another rarity throughout the years, TMI). The items listed in the brunch menu would have been exactly what I would have plucked from a buffet anyway, so I was ecstatic. It was a full restaurant on a Sunday afternoon, but please support this restaurant, so that they will continue to offer this specialty service for coming years. Now that we have moved an hour east, my reviews will come further and further between, since there are very few selections in our new little burg. Happy Trails!!! PS: Erin, as a previous restaurant manager, kudos to you for the vetting and hiring and training of excellent staff, You're the reason for the success here, so take a bow!

Bardenays is where you go when you want a somewhat elevated brewery-type place to eat and drink. Lots of options for vegetarian and gluten free people, wide enough menu to have something for everyone. Service is fast, food is OK. Best time to go is during summer for happy hour to sit on the patio for drinks and apps.

Excellent Brussel sprouts appetizer...like unbelievable! Very good service, fun cocktails & my pork chop dinner entree was delicious. Only thing I'd do different is put a sweet potato dish with the pork chop, instead of regular potatoes. Well Done!

We walked to this hopping place for lunch while staying overnight in town. The patio has a nice lake view. The Beef Satay was great and my husband ordered the Meatloaf sandwich which was served with fries to die for. Great place! I would like to try dinner here too.

Have been here many times. Consistently great food and great service. Location is nice, and when possible we opt for the outdoor seating. Looking forward to another visit.

Loved the atmosphere, outdoor seating watching the sunset while enjoying a wonderful meal. Our group ordered the salmon, sea bass & trout. The chief got it right on all three. Full of flavor and the food arrived hot, not luke warm. Appetizers were equally delicious. I can't say enough about the wonderful wait staff, polite, always checking to see if our table needed anything, & this place was busy! I highly recommend it. No doubt, I am returning.

Habanero wings were the best! And your drinks had flavor. Your device was also excellent.

The wait to get to the host stand and to request our table was not great, but once we sat down, everything else was good. Also, I don't understand the lack of space heaters on the patio, so we opted to sit inside. Ambiance and decor were classy as is the view outside. Service was friendly and helpful, and the timing of service was just right. The sea bass and gnocchi was in my opinion, the best dish at our table. The fettuccini alfredo with shrimp was a close second. Fish and chips were solid, but the breading was not what I was expecting. The mango habanero sauce it came with was great though. Trout dip was tasty. In terms of drinks, the What's Rum Got to Do with It blew our minds. It is so delicious and dangerous as you can hardly tell that it is alcoholic. Definitely would be happy to eat here again.

Nice open space and patio. We had brunch here and really enjoyed the biscuits and gravy and the club sandwich. The service from our female server was extremely slow. Tables sat after us were ordering before us, a male server let us know our server would be over, she took our order then the same male server brought us our food which had appeared to be sitting. We made sure to thank and tip the male server for helping out, otherwise it would've been a bad experience.

GLUTEN FREE ISSUE I ordered Ramen noodle bowl the other night (8/25) and the bartender told me the noodles were yuca soba noodles which would be gluten-free; so I enjoyed the Ramen only to have an allergic reaction later that night when my sinuses swelled up and made breathing more difficult; and I woke up with my face & eye swollen & all my joints hurting for days. I was disappointed because this was not a fun weekend. MENU The menu is diverse, and all the food that I've ever had here is amazing. SERVICE The service used to be stellar, but lately the hostess currently on staff needs a little training. ATMOSPHERE The only issue with his venue is that it gets very loud so it's difficult to bring the heart of hearing people to eat here because of the echo. Other than that it's a nice environment.

Sarah was one of the best servers we've ever had! And the Brussels Sprouts appetizer was amazing!
