Asked for a deposit, we fell for it and they won't return
our money . They won't let me talk to anyone when I call
( we are from out of state) keep getting our message "because no one is available" and never called back. My lawyer will be getting a hold of them.

We came to Dave Smith motors because we heard they were honest, upfront and would make purchasing a vehicle easy. I ordered my vehicle back in February and it came in the end of May. Clint was in contact with me every step of the way. Then, I had someone from accessories call and ask if I wanted my front windows tinted and some kind of coating on the car? I said NO. The day we got there to pick my car up I see these two things added to the price. When I questioned Clint he told me it was already put on when the sales person had called and asked and that it was in the original quote he gave me. That was a lie! When I got home and looked at my signed quote it was not in there.
I emailed Clint and told him that because they say they want the opportunity to fix the problem. He just told me I was confused basically. They could take some lessons from D n D RV in Helena. They are one of the only companies that are truly up front and honest and don’t try to shove sales and accessories down your throat. I will never purchase from Dave Smith motors again.

Would be a good experience IF someone answered the phone so you could set up a maintenance appointment. Sadly driving there only to be turned away for another day...doesn't make for good customer experience.
Many times I asked, "will this cost out of pocket?" Each time assured no....until pickup. Then much to my surprise 100.00 deductible NOT ONE person tild me about.
Get it together. For such a large dealership, customers are not your worry.

Simply the best dealership I’ve ever dealt with.. the service was so good we bought 2 cars with in 2 weeks of each other and drive over 2000 miles to get both rigs!! We will never buy another rig from any other dealership.

This was my second time buying from them and definitely my last. Read the reviews- it’s a trap! Stay away, they just want YOUR hard earned $$ without a commensurate product.
**Update: I just replaced the brake pads and rotors - they were completely shot (31 May, 2024). The salesman specifically said "the brakes are good, I checked them myself this morning."
The facts:
1. They tried to get me to put a $500 deposit on the truck I was originally interested in even though someone else had already put a deposit on it.
2. That truck sold, I put a deposit on the other truck I was interested in - took several days for it to be ready, as they found problems with it after I put my deposit down.
3. When I picked it up, was told verbally the oil had been changed and their inspection had been done. Changed the oil a few days later as the indicator still showed 48% life remaining. It was jet black, definitely had not been changed.
4. Check engine light illuminated on my drive home from the dealer after picking it up. Pulled the codes, it was in the history so they cleared the code in order to sell it.
5. Also noticed a ticking sound that I couldn’t hear on the test drive (salesman talking) - $3,500 to replace the timing system. Took my mechanic 5 seconds to diagnose. You would assume the “hundred and some point inspection” would find it.
6. They only gave me 6 gallons of gas - manager decision since it was a “zero dollar sale”.
They’re not willing to help with the cost since there was no warranty, despite the implied warranty law for both WA and ID.
That’s what happened, I’ll leave it to you to decide, but I’m never going back. For what it’s worth, I’m 23 years active military and have bought and sold many cars in that time. This might be the biggest hose job yet.

This was absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had purchasing a vehicle from a dealership. The sales person was awful, typical used car sales personality type even though the car was new. Going back and forth on the already agreed upon price, we eventually had to talk to Cameron the sales manager. The numbers that were provided to us were wrong and fraudulent. I went through the numbers with Cameron line by line because I noticed a discrepancy on the sales tax that would be due at the DMV. They were shorting us $2000 and I brought it up to his attention and he said that I was wrong on the sales tax so I let it go but to my surprise 30 days later when we went to register the car, we indeed were $2000 short so we got screwed.

This is my second time purchasing a car from Dave Smith, Kellogg. I really have nothing bad to say about your team! Everyone at this location is so friendly and quick to answer questions. A special shout out to Darrell Andrews! Darrel was just a dream to work with! He went above and beyond to find that compromise, in order to meet all our needs. I really appreciate the time that was taken to guide me through the decision making -and purchase- process. I also really appreciate his patience with my ever-so-eager mother.
