Tipsy Canoe is a one-stop destination in the heart of Lava Hot Springs on Main Street and the only liquor store for many miles. It boasts one of Idaho's largest selections, including mixed liquor cocktails, craft beers, wine, and non-alcoholic options. The store is very well stocked with so many different alcohols and the shelves look immaculate and clean. They also offer fresh to-go food, BBQ, snacks, lottery tickets, and other convenience items. The atmosphere is nice small town. The staff is friendly, great, and quite nice, offering awesome advice and even making a few jokes. They do take credit cards, but there is a $1 fee. Some reviewers noted a funky smell upon entering and a lack of shopping baskets. However, the store has an awesome flow and is pretty decent for such a small town, with many walking out with some unique drinks to try.
The BBQ was good - it's a full service restaurant and they will seat you - we didn't really realize it was even there until we walked by and were enticed by the aroma from the meats smoking out front!

Still settling as a new restaurant. Smoked meats are great. Beer choices are great. Love it. The one thing Lava was missing is good bbq.
