It was highly rated but closed when we traveled through town. Businesses need to keep their sites current and accurate if they expect to attract new business.

Would give it a 5, but they are closed a lot and at unpredictable times. Also no liquor.Best food in the Lost River Valley.

The service was terrible. I looked at our food order for over 10 minutes after asking 2 different waitresses if it was read. The one was ro busy flirting with the guy at the end of the bar to look and the other was to busy trying to cover for the one who wasn'tDoing anything. I was charged for ranch and guacamole but never received it. I asked for it 2 different times but no one ever got back to me. We ordered the food at 5:30 and I received some of it at 7:20. It was just really frustrating, the food was cold when we got it. Aftrr paying 80$ plus tip...

Pretty sure the red headed waitress we had wrote in her own tip on the receipt. We left her cash on the table but I noticed my bank was charged about $40 more than our meal. When I called they said there was nothing they could do because I didn’t keep the receipt. Shady business not good for a small town!!

This is a clean and more up to date place to stay in Mackay and we have stayed in most if them.I would have given them more stars BUT in the middle of the night the heat quit and no one to call. Thank God for extra blankets we made it to morning.Walkability: Just off the Main Street but this is a one stop light town.?

We decided on a short road trip and had never been to Mackay, Idaho. We saw great reviews for the Bear Bottom Inn and stayed 2 nights. Bring a hair dryer, but they have ceramic bowls and metal utensils. Small fridge and microwave, hot water on demand. Very clean and comfortable, bathroom exceptionally nice. We highly recommend and look forward to going again when the snow is gone and temperature above zero! And by the way, Mackay was a very friendly town, we felt at home wherever we went. The Bear Bottom was great! ?

Dropped in to try the pizza out. It did not disappoint. Place was busy but it's also a small place. We were able to get an empty table and didn't wait to long for a menu. Reasonable time between ordering and getting our pizza. Waitress was attentive and friendly. Pizza was delicious. We also got an appetizer and 2 drinks. Spent $30 for 2 people and had leftovers. Was well worth the price!

We stayed in the inn part of this resturant/inn combo, and it was nice. It was a good price for a cozy room that provided just what we needed. The rooms smelled clean and everything was tidy. They strive to be environmentally friendly as well, glass dishes and silverware so it can all be reused, it's good to see. The shower head is a little short if you're above 5' 9", which was fine for me but my 6" husband found his noodle bonked once or twice. This wasn't really a huge problem for us though, just a tidbit. We really enjoyed our stay, and how close within walking distance it is to resturants and nearby to the self tour mining tour. Very friendly owners and staff, and good place to rest your head.

We were exploring Mackay and found this place. We wasted alot of money on groceries to camp up here because we ended up eating dinner at Bear Bottom Inn 2 of our 3 nights as we HAD to try more food. The pizzas and the nachos were 10/10. Delicious food, cozy environment and the staff was great!!! Highly recommend.

The room is small but clean. We were surprised they didn't have air conditioning. They also didn't offer any ice. They lady said we could buy a bag at the gas station. The restaurant wasn't open the evening we were in town. There aren't many restaurants in town but we picked the right one. We ate at Scoops--it has Mexican food and great ice cream. The young lady who waited on us was 10 years old and "one of the kids". She was delightful and made our stay in MacKay.
