Great mountain biking spot in McCall. Enjoyed a beautiful fall morning riding here with friends. I would consider the trails easier than the color rating they have.

Gorgeous, well maintained trails. Open to hikers and cyclists. (Also skiers in the winter) Has a bathroom in the rather large gravel parking lot. If you go during the summer be sure to pack water and sunscreen!

FYI, the Payette Lakes Ski Club pays a lease and has the permit to operate ski trails on this National Forest land. In the summer CIMBA volunteers maintain the mtb trails for everyone's use. Please respect the few posted rules for everyone's enjoyment. Trails are 5 star in summer and winter.

Awesome place with great views at the top of the mountain. The dogs had a blast. Dogs are allowed off leash. Most people seem to go skiing rather than snowshoeing. We went snowshoeing and didn't ran into anyone on the trail.

It's April 18th and it's still snowed over but it's GORGEOUS! Totally worth the 2.5 hr drive to get here from Boise

We attended an Orienteering event out here and it was the perfect place. The trailhead is well maintained, facilities were open and everything was well marked. I'll have to come out again to see more

Bear Basin is a beautiful place for walking, mountain biking and snow shoeing. It's biggest negative is the signage is inadequate. They post maps, but don't include "You are here" markers. It is still worth visiting.

A little dusty and lots of open area- so take sunscreen. Mountain bike trail- they are so patient- but make sure to move to the side. ?
