Our experience at Aspen was horrible. 24 hours after he was checked in, I arrived at 2 pm to find my husband sitting in a dark room, door closed, hunched over on his walker. He was confused and slightly delirious, saying things that made no sense. I immediately alerted his "nurse" and someone arrived to take his blood pressure, which was alarmingly low (80/40). I requested that they also take his temperature (slightly elevated) and then asked to have the doctor see him.The nurse returned saying the doctor would order blood work in the morning, then offered my husband some broth and crackers to try to get his blood pressure up. I immediately realized that the crackers contain ingredients that he is unable to eat due to food intolerances (all noted on his records), called it to her attention and she commented that she forgot to check. When I asked if the broth was safe for him to eat, she acknowledged that she didn't know.Ultimately, I called the triage team at his physician's office because I had no confidence in the medical staff at Aspen. It was decided he should be transported to the ER via ambulance. En route, his blood pressure dropped precipitously and he came in as a critical patient and was later admitted to the ICUI firmly believe that if I hadn't intervened, my husband would have died while in Aspen's care due to their ignorance. I can't overstate how unprepared they are to deal with any kind of medical issues and strongly recommend you avoid this place.

Almost one year to the day mom broke her other hip. Didn’t even give it a second thought as to where she would go for rehab. Aspen is amazing in the attentive care and professional and personal dignity they provide. Clean spacious rooms and yummy food. Highly recommended them.

Been working in Healthcare for 10 years and currently working some assignments here through a nursing agency and this is one of the nicest facilities I've been in. The nurses and caregivers have all been kind, professional and from what I've experienced go above and beyond for their patients. I hear a lot of positive feedback from patients during my shifts. Greeted with a modern and clean appearance with rooms similar to a nice hotel with really nice furniture and all of the patients have temperpedic beds, which I've never seen in any facility. I have to say I'm honestly impressed with this facility and the staff.

Everything appeared to be lovely, nice and clean. Nice new room after being updated. We had heard good things about it, so we chose it because of this. After being there after a surgery for my husband, it became clear it wasn't up to par. Although the food was good, and for the most part the people were nice enough, they really weren't doing any physical therapy. Oh they came in the room, and had him stand up a few times. Husband ended up with an infection and had to go back to hospital and have surgery again. They couldn't get his blood sugar under control for some reason. Then when he was able to return, they didn't want him back, apparently they aren't equipped to handle someone with health issues. Odd since they are a Rehabilitation center. We would NOT recommend this place to anyone with rehab health issues! They weren't "full" they had rooms that are empty! I was there and saw for myself! Just an excuse to not take him. Pretty bizarre if you ask me. He's not a mean man! They even told me how nice he was. The CNAs seemed nice but not exactly instructed well, the RNs were OK. Their doctor didn't contact his Primary himself, I had to call him myself regarding his blood sugar and his surgeon to let him know something wasn't right. Thank goodness I did! He had sepsis! NOT GOOD!

Apart from a few wonderful, helpful and kind staff members, the service here declined tremendously in the last few years. The facility appears nice on the outside but appeared to be in a complete remodel and was really crappy inside with everything torn apart. Should not be open during this time. My grandmother hardly received any real rehabilitative services while here and we are not even really sure what they did for her for an entire month. Waste of time and money. Update to this: 2 weeks after original post my grandma died from Covid contracted by a staff member at Aspen. We are devastated.

Recently my wife Pamela had to spend time at Aspen in Meridian, ID. following treatment for a spinal injury. Aspen was highly recommended by St. Luke's Hospital also in Meridian. In spite of the restrictions of COVID we found the staff very attentive and accommodating . Everyone we encountered is to be commended for the care given to my wife. The facility was clean, quiet and well appointed. The food was very good and the food service staff was very eager to provide a flexible menu. The Nursing staff listened to my wife and was always available despite the extra workload and complex issues mandated by COVID. The Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy staff were not only professional but pleasant. Insofar as the administration was concerned I was very pleased. My family was considered in every way. Hans was the one person I had direct contact with. He made sure that we were given every opportunity to visit personally with my wife within the confines of the COVID mandated restrictions and for that we are greatly thankful. His sincerity and attention to our needs was evident from the very start. I don't give reviews like this very often , but when a family member has to be placed in such a facility there is a lot of concern regarding the level and quality of care they will receive. I wanted to take the time to give Aspen the credit it richly deserves and help those having to make decisions like this a little easier. Thank you all so much !

They give little attention to the patients. Most staff seem to be stressed out and don't give the family the time of day. Nice building poor staff.

My dad is here currently and I'm finally able to sleep at night because I can trust the staff to take care of him, they treat him as a person and have fallowed through with all they have said they would do... Friendly and caring staff and a very clean building, if you have concerns for your loved ones at other places I highly recommend Aspen

My mother required care after a fractured femur requiring skilled nursing. We could not have been happier about the quality and expertise of care. Additionally, the administration and billing was excellent. We feel very fortunate our mother received this level of care and they genuinely deserve/earn a five star rating.

I have been in and out of Nursing Homes for years in my line of work. This is an excellent building. The Leadership has been in place for 13 years and really understands the business and how to put patients first. It is a beautiful physical plant, which is a bonus and the staff are extremely friendly. I would recommend this place if you are looking for skilled rehab

As a departed employee of Aspen Rehab, terminated by the company for neglecting to keep my mouth shut in the name of poor patient care, and others not doing their jobs, I would highly recommend not going to this facility. I would send my family member/loved one anywhere else but here.

I was there in August 2018 for 12 days. The staff took excellent care of me. They were compassionate and professional at all times, but also seemed like they cared about every patient, like family. The rooms were spacious, I had a nice view from my window, and the food was delicious. Everyone was so helpful. When I need another rehab place, this is where I would choose to go.

My mother stayed here for two weeks now and I could not be more happy with her level of care. Every therapist and nurse that has interacted with her has been thorough and professional. They give her in-depth analysis of everything they will do with her and what she is expected to do in return. They seem to be caring with their patients and I just love the way she's treated by all the staff.
