Unpleasant tellers and unprofessional attitude. I had an issue with my paycheck pending for 24 hours. This information was not shared with me when I deposited my check. Once deposited I immediately tried to pay rent with it only to get a “declined”. I went back to the bank and then it was shared that I have to wait 24 hours. Obviously that’s not good news so I turned to leave and in a junior high bully’s tone-both tellers say “Byyyeeee” that’s incredibly unprofessional considering the circumstances. Not to mention just uncalled for.

The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. Their ATM was empty and I was still charged the amount. I kept the receipt that says it was unable to dispense amount and have been given the run around on the disputed amount for a month, even after providing proof on the receipt. I would never suggest keybank to anyone. It’s a shame their call centers ruin their rapport compared to how their branches operate. Unfortunately, their employees at the branches cannot help with anything aside from opening an account or cashing checks. It’s unfortunate that you will continue to lose business due to outsourcing your dispute, fraud, etc. department to a call center that does not care about your customers.

I rarely post negative reviews and give businesses the benefit of the doubt. However, I recently purchased in the area and wanted to relocate my banking to a local bank. I made an appointment online with KeyBank on Fairview Rd. to open new accounts for a Friday afternoon, which required me to take time off of work. Upon arrival, I was told that the person who handles new accounts was off that day. It seems I should've been advised this before I came in. Further, I was told by one of the gentlemen there that the account rep would be back in that Saturday morning and would be "happy to help" me. He took my name and offered to leave a note for the account rep so she was aware when she arrived in the morning. I came back on that Saturday and was told by the account rep that the bank doesn't do new accounts on Saturdays due to low staffing. I offered my story that I had made an appointment for the prior day, which no one called to cancel me, and was told that she would be more than willing to help me today. She offered no budging and very little contrition about the misinformation and wasted time I spent, twice, trying to become a customer with this bank. I understand that there are policies in place and this lack of customer service likely starts at the top above these employees. However, a reasonable response to a prospective customer would've been: "Sir, I'm extremely sorry about our lack of communication and the unsuccessful efforts you've made thus far. Let me please take down your name and contact information so a manager can call you on Monday. We'd love to have your business and will make every effort to make this right." Whether I chose to try KeyBank again or not, at least I would've felt better than the half apology/no olive branch/shrug I received as I made my way out the door. My suggestions for branch management would be: 1) Have someone actively monitor online appointments and QC those that need to be canceled for some reason; 2) Ensure there are at least two representatives in the branch that can open a basic checking account in the event one of them is out sick or tied up with another customer; and 3) Take to heart the customer service concerns expressed on Yelp and assume the perspectives expressed by customers have some degree of legitimacy. Customer service soft-skills can't be underscored enough, especially in a geographical area that has a myriad of banking options.

Alin, at Overland Key Bank in Meridian was so great to work with. My dog had chewed off corner of a hundred dollar bill. I took to my key bank on Fairview and Locust Grove and gray haired lady looked at it and said she wouldn’t take it and to mail to treasure!!! I told her I have been with key bank over 30 years!! I asked for address for treasure and she told me to google it under gov.com. I was very upset. I Left and I then called another key bank and Alin checked with his manager and was happy to exchange for another hundred dollar bill because less than 85 percentile chewed bill was missing and he said he would send to treasure. Exceptional customer service!! Thank you Alin!!!! That bank will be where I go from now on!! No going back to bank on Fairview and Locust Grove!!

I've been with key for 7 years, and I'm still completely unsatisfied. I would never ever recommend them to manage your money.

This branch is horrible. They asked me in to discuss "savings account options" and when I arrived they ran my credit without receiving my permission first. They are pushy and rude. The sale comes before the customer. They charged me a fee in error that they reversed, but then refused to reverse the overdraft fee that came as a result of their error. Their customer service rep at corporate told me I had to go through the local branch to get the fees reversed, but when I called the branch manager she was rude and it took multiple complaints to corporate before she would honor their promise. I do not recommend this bank, and I definitely recommend avoiding this branch at all costs.

I stood waiting for the teller for nearly 2 minutes and then was waited in. Way too long. I cashed a personal check and the cashing fee was $7.50., way too much. The cubbies that the staff work in are not an inviting environment and there was trash on the counters. I don't normally use this bank but because a personal check was written out to me I thought I'd just cash it out. Great location, lots of parking.

Very crooked way of doing business. For some reason they think it's ok to practically steal from their customers. If you normally use the atm for banking and want to have access to your deposits immediately I would steer clear of this place!!! Atm cuts off at 7pm and apparently even if you put cash in after that time it's treated as a deposit the next day and they will charge you a $37 overdraft fee. I've lost hundreds of dollars because of this in just 5 months. My old bank I had 1 overdraft in 3 years but it was entirely my fault and I knew it was going to happen. Not right, especially at Christmas :(
