I recently had the opportunity to meet with Edwin Perez to discuss my banking needs. Edwin took the time to thoroughly understand my situation and promptly identified three different solutions specifically designed to address my requirements. Throughout our meeting, Edwin was exceptionally professional, attentive, and personable. I have complete trust in his guidance and expertise, and as a result, I have decided to move all of my accounts to Mountain America because of the confidence I have in Edwin Perez.

After more than fifty years as a member of Mountain America Credit Union, I am deeply disappointed to share that my recent attempt to secure a construction loan was the worst experience I have ever had with a financial institution.
Over the course of more than 100 days, MACU repeatedly delayed our loan, misrepresented federal requirements, and forced us to withdraw from our investment account unnecessarily — creating a tax liability that should never have occurred. Communication was nearly nonexistent, with long delays and unanswered questions.
In the end, we closed our accounts, moved our funds to another institution, and secured our construction loan elsewhere. What should have been a $600,000 asset for MACU is now lost.
It is disheartening to see such a decline in service and integrity from an institution I once trusted. I hope others carefully consider their options before choosing MACU.

Maria was fantastic! Originally, we came into the branch to open a deposit account to start a new relationships for a mortgage. She told us about a signature loan that could take down our credit and lower our rate. She was super helpful and provided all options and avenues that could help us! Would highly recommend working with her

I like MACU, however, It’s incredibly frustrating that they have a “limit” on how much you can pay on your credit card balance over the period of one month or at one time, even if you’re paying with a bank account/routing number. If you want to make a large payment, you have to go purchase a money order and physically bring it to a branch. It’s incredibly inconvenient.

After a difficult, frustrating experience with the phone fraud dispute system I went into the the branch. Alaina Jones was amazing and resolved all my concerns. She took time to cover all the bases with checks and balances. I am so grateful for her kind professional efforts.

I have banked at MACU for about nine years I have never experienced a problem at the Bank or speaking
to a Representative on the phone MACU is a model bank for the curtisy this bank gives to there clients

Recently I went to the Franklin Branch MACU after being turned away for a mortgage on a new primary home. I spoke with the loan officer Jake. He was extreamly friendly and professional. He explained that MACU would be able to get that mortgage approved and funded in an unheard of 15 days (short closing). They bent over backwards all the way to the day before closing and got it all done. I can't say enough about MACU and Jake, they are incredible. I got my family and friends to become members of this credit union as a result. I would give them 6 stars!
