I have a 25 gallon aquarium with 9 fairly small fish, one a bit larger, and snails and algea eaters. I have not had many issues with them and do my head count each morning. I purchased 6 little tetras (3 of 2 different kinds) Saturday from overland store and did the routine to add to the tank and by this morning all of my fish are dead. My guarantee is a free water testing and assistance to get my water correct. My water was correct. I take great care in keeping all of my chemical levels and temp controlled. They are willing to replace the 6 tetras I purchased but weren't willing to take any accountability for these fish bringing something to my tank.

Organized store. Not sure how good their lawn fertilization program is though based on results over past 8 years compared with using non-organic fertilizer.

Ferrets are pretty neglected. Improper bedding, low almost empty water, no food available, poo filled food bowl and overly dirty litter box. Employees were friendly though.

Austin was incredible! I have an extremely picky 10 month old golden retriever puppy and we are trying to find a food she will eat. Austin spent atleast 20 minutes with me, answering my questions and giving me advice. Austin is an incredible employee and obviously has a passion for his job, customers and most importantly animals! Thank you Austin ?

Still a terrible place, the worst. I just walked in to look for dog food and was also looking at plants. Not one employee could say, hello or give any assistance. Deplorable! If you spend your money here you are rewarding poor customer service. What a shame! It's no wonder brick and mortar stores are closing. If you raised or even had proper customer service training standards, raising the bar, it would go along way. The status quo isn't working. Pathetic ownership and management.

Giving 3 stars because Christine actually helped me while Jodi basically directed me to the back of the line after waiting 20 minutes to ask someone for help in the soil section. I was told she had to help everyone in line behind me before she could answer my one question.

I waited several days to write this review following my poor experience. The reason this is difficult is because every employee we encountered was kind, welcoming, and professional. The store was immaculate. Our negative experience was with the owner, Jim. My other half and I were training our dog at the Overland location. This is something I do frequently at all of the area locations as well as at other businesses in the area who allow well behaved dogs. Another friend of our joins me regularly with her dog. Both dogs compete in obedience and have an upcoming trial. Very well behaved. Both are service animals. My dog assists with tasks relating to mental illness, as I am a 20 year veteran of the Marine Corps with 100% service connected disability. This is pretty irrelevant but I am mentioning it to be clear that we were not there giving or receiving a dog training session. We don’t need basic obedience training and I don’t hold a job. On this particular day, we had tucked ourselves in the back corner of the store to avoid any interference with other customers. Several employees came and went through a warehouse door near us, sometimes with a large cart, sometimes just empty handed. They came and went as usual, each time smiling as they walked by. Several minutes into our training, an employee who we hadn’t seen yet walked up and asked if he could help us with something. We said no thank you, we were just training something with our dogs. He asked who told us we could be there. We said no one, we come in regularly to train there because the store policy is welcoming of dogs. I mentioned that last time I was at that location, an employee asked if I had business cards they could keep in the register so I was not sure why I needed permission to be in the store with my dog. The employee left and came back with Jim on his cell phone. Jim asked the employee to find out who was “the leader” of our group. No one was leading anything so I just reached out my hand to talk to him. I said hi and introduced myself. He asked who were we affiliated with. I said we aren’t affiliated with anyone, we are just customers who sometimes trained our dogs while we shopped. He did not believe me and said we needed to ask permission to be in the store. He accused us of being a part of a specific local dog training business because my other half drives a bannered vehicle displaying the business name. He had either seen the vehicle in the parking lot on the camera or asked the employee to look for it. I explained that my partner is the owner’s daughter but is not employed at the business. He said several times we need to ask permission to be there at the store. I want to be clear that there was no client/trainer lesson of any kind going on. Myself and the other customer who was working their dog alongside me travel to trials regularly and train together. We are completely unaffiliated with any business. The business we were accused of “training” with does not teach what we were doing. Jim was pretty rude on the phone and deflected everything I said to either asking permission to hold a lesson in the store or impeding his warehouse workers from doing their jobs. I eventually politely handed the phone back to the employee and the 3 of us left the store. We absolutely love Zamzows and spend money there regularly. We are happy members of the lawn care program. Unfortunately, following this experience, we are no longer customers. The accusatory nature and arrogance displayed by Jim was just kind of bewildering given my previous positive experiences at the very same location doing exactly the same thing. The only difference was that my partner drove her bannered truck. I’m sad to say we are not coming back, with or without our dogs.

This is the second Zamzows I have been in and this one had a much cleaner appearance, however it did not have the selection the other location had. Either way give me any Zamzows on a bad day because it's my happy place! They all have very nice and helpful staff and, well, pets and plants, what's not to love?!

Excellent aquarium help and healthiest fish I've ever owned. I set up a small aquarium for my child's birthday with the help of the Zamzows staff. The Fish and Frog will soon celebrate kiddos next birthday. In all my years, Ive never had this much success with an aquarium. Thanks team!

Absolutely fantastic service! We buy all of our dog, fish, pond, and lawn supplies here for years. Today I stopped by to pick up more ROI water for our fish tanks, and a couple of snails. I get to the register and forgot my wallet. Had about $5 in cash on me but the total bill was $8. Jim the manager pulled out the cash and paid this out of his own pocket. What a kind gesture to do for a customer, next time I come by I will be bringing Jim a fantastic lunch! Thank you

I went in to buy two adult feeder mice on October 13th Wednesday and when I asked the lady working the reptile station if I could have two adult mice she then said “there’s only one you want it or not” then proceeded to be very rude n disrespectful about how she went about asking if I wanted it.. it was ridiculous and made me never wanna step foot in a Zamzows because of that disrespect and hostility. This occurrence was at 3:05

Local only They do not have name brand food here. We came here for dog food after a pooch party cause a coupon was with it. Thought we would find a new place to buy bule Buffalo. NOPE drove out of the way for nothing. Not looking forward to changing dog food for a temporary time. That would be a terrible mess

The lady who runs the fish section really needs to be fired i came in a couple time last year and she would never sell fish to me even though I've been in the hobby for almost 7 years. She always claimed they were under "observation" she would tell me to come back on on a certain day and I would come back and they would still be under "observation". I Finally stopped going I returned on the 29th and just walked in the fish room and she said SIR DONT STEP ON THE HOSE I wasn't even near the hose I just ok and continued to look I saw what I needed asked her if I could get 2 guppies and she said their under "observation" so I left and was checking out and a little girl walks up to me
