Strung me along for 6 weeks before denying my loan. Oh, but they're so sorry. Yelp says my review is to short. That's because I'm close to profanity and I'd like to stop now.

I used to have a good impression of Chase -- and then I had an issue. A store did not provide the product that I paid for on my Chase credit card, so I disputed the charge. Chase assured me "no problem, we'll take care of it". Months later they close the dispute and say I have to pay. Now they won't even discuss it. What a terrible bank -- go somewhere else.

It is sad to see that in-person customer service is vanishing like the polar ice caps. Having recently moved to the Palouse, I walked in to the Moscow, ID branch of Chase to change my address. The teller told me they were busy and I should go online. While I am usually a proponent of taking care of business online, the one thing I can't stand doing online... is anything banking related. The passwords, two-factor authentication, half a dozen security questions, CAPTCHA's and verification codes make simply logging IN to a banking website a fervently regrettable, not to mention putrid experience. We're busy, you should go online. Pathetic. Awful, shameful, repugnant customer "service." It may be time to take my business elsewhere.

After waiting on hold for 5 minutes and then being disconnected by corporate customer service, I decided to call my local (Moscow) branch for help. First call (at 9:20am) the phone rang, and rang, and rang (I counted 8) with no answer. Knowing that they were open, I called again. This time it rang, and rang, and rang (stopped counting after the 10th ring) and then I heard a voice! Amazingly it was not a live person, it was their recording saying, in the most heartfelt and sincere way possible "I'm sorry we aren't able to take you call right now. Please call us back in a few minutes". Seriously?!?! You're CHASE bank for gawd sakes! Your company makes BILLIONS. Your local branch should be staffed well enough to answer the $!%& phone. Comparatively, I also have an account with Zion's across town. They ALWAYS answer the phone. ALWAYS. And it doesn't have to ring off the hook before a real person answers it either. C'mon local CHASE branch, get it together. (UPDATE: 2016) how odd that my original review, in which I awarded 1 star, was never published. Makes me wonder if the Yelpmeisters were paid to squelch my review. Hmmm. Anyway, the only time I go here (CHASE) is to pay my credit card bill. I've upgraded them to 2 stars and would be happy to award 3 if and when they redo the drive up window by the building so that I don't have to lean way out of the car window to reach the drawer.

The absolute nicest staff EVER! Extremely attentive, crazy helpful, they bend over backwards to be of service. We've been coming to this branch for three years and done a wide variety of business. Every step of the way--awesome! They just added safe deposit boxes too, which are very handy! Plus, they know my husband and I by name, and make this national "mega-bank" feel like a local one!
