Lookout Pass Ski & Recreation Area is a family-friendly ski resort known for its great snow, impeccable grooming, and caring, friendly staff. Located on the Idaho-Montana border, the resort averages over 450 inches of snow per year, making it one of the snowiest in the region. With 59 trails, 1,023 acres, and a recent 500-acre expansion of the Eagle Peak area, Lookout Pass offers a vertical drop of 1,650 feet, served by 2 quad, 2 triple, and 1 double chairlifts, as well as 2 terrain parks. The resort is usually the first to open and the last to close in the area, providing an extended ski season. In addition to its winter offerings, Lookout Pass is home to the Route of the Hiawatha, a scenic bike trail that opens from May 22 to September 20.
