Edit: this place has gone downhill. It's not maintained or up kept. The gates are always broken. The other day, both gates were down so you couldn't get in and I was basically told oh well. The outside parking has weeds that grow so bad, we had to bring a hedge trimmer to get to our spot. Take your money elsewhere. Save yourself the headache. Also, the professional and quick response doesn't happen anymore. So they don't even have that doing for them.Professional and quick response! We were able to get into our space within 24 hrs. They take security seriously and the prices were very competitive.

1 stars because signing up was easy. Online and completely contactless. As far as the units themselves...measurements are not exact. I picked a 5x15 unit, the unit ended up being 5x11. When I called they told me the unit sizes were "approximations" and by picking a 5x15 unit I am only guaranteed that it will be bigger than 5x10 but no bigger than 5x15. False advertisement at its best as nowhere online does it mention that. Ended up being a waste of time and I had to cancel the unit after signing up and paying the "$25 move in fee". Weeds were also all over the ground. I could hardly get the door open as they were completely in the way of the unit. Would not recommend.

Very run down and car parking for storage had weeds over grown and people living in RV on the lot almost worried to leave my vehicle here.

This storage facility is disgusting. We paid for our final month and moved out after a few days of the month and they don’t reimburse you for the time that your not in it. They are a bunch of frauds and they do not deserve anyones business at all!

When we started at Otter Self Storage, it was called Nampa Storage and we had a low affordable rate for our little unit. When Otter people took over, they immediately raised the rate for improvements up $11 they were making to the place. Another increase was for insurance on our property. We had no choice ($9). If we had not moved out this past month, we would have seen another increase of $13. When we went to move out in early February, we wanted to talk to someone on site, but there was no one in the office. We were directed on a sign to call a number. We were unable to find our key and over the phone made arrangements for them to safely cut our lock for a small fee. Later we learned, they would not do this as there was no one who would do this. They have no people there. We found the key and moved our things out Feb 19th. There was a horrible smell in the unit next to ours and something leaking under the door. Smelled like something died in there. We hurried to get our things out, trying not to gag. Across the access road between some other units, there was a pile of garbage that looked wet from the rain we had weeks ago. The same metal bin that had been there weeks before was still there, loaded with garbage, not picked up yet. We let them know (by phone) Feb 23rd that we had vacated our unit. We then received an email that before they could release us, we have to go back and take a picture of the empty unit to show that it is indeed empty and no damage was done. Could not this be done by someone on site in the office like other storage units? Obviously not; there is no one there. I am never going back there. I literally got sick while there because of the sickening smell.

They said the storage was 5x10 it was more like a 4x7 I couldn’t fit a 8ft item I had. When I called they just tried to push me to a bigger Storage saying it was 5x10…

As much as I hate leaving poor reviews I feel future tenants deserve to know the truth. The company had the overhead roll up doors replaced and in the process my personal property was damaged. Months later I have yet to get a resolution.Additionally, there are piles of garbage and unwanted furniture that has been sitting out for over a month. I cant even drive around my unit because the facility has yet to clean this up. Needless to say I am very disappointed.

Ashley the manager is a very sweet gal. Rented me a uhaul early so I could take care of my other business. The only issue I have is the location is not that great and wouldn't go there after dark.

Today when I finally able to go to the storage unit Otter Storage claims to be renting to me I found out that they decided to close my account because I "vacated without notice". I don't understand how that is possible. Between dealing with COVID-19 while living with someone that is high risk and still having to work constantly being an essential worker I haven't had time and didn't want to expose people to more risk. I was able to get the vaccine finally and so I decided I'd use my one day off this week to go and move all my stuff in. Got all loaded and ready but since I've never been to this location I looked in my email to get the address and unit number and noticed an email saying "Successfully moved out". I paid all the start up fees they throw at you, the rent and their insurance on time every time. They never game any kind of notice. No email, no voicemail, no letter in the mail, not even a text. Apparently their customers aren't worth the $0-$2.65 to send a email or letter. They even took rent for July and then moved me out 8 days later. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if that was policy so they can double rent the same unit. I called the number in the email and the representative was completely useless. Literally the only thing they could tell me was "I vacated without notice". What's the phone number for the manager? "I don't have that". Is anyone there right now? "PROBABLY not". Not too Helpful. I guess I get to spend Monday trying to figure this out. I've included the emails showing payment and lack of attempt to contact me. I'll update if I'm able to actually get ahold of anyone.

This place is affordable and great customer service.Since the new owners have taken over we have enjoyed the communication. They have done a lot of improvements as well.Sometimes getting in and out especially with a camper can be a bit tricky especially if someone is putting or removing things from their storage unit as you first drive in but this rarely happens.I do think they need more cameras in the back where the campers are kept. (This could be one of their improvements that I’m not aware of)I would love for them to invest in covered storage.

Horrible customer service, my daughter made a reservation for a storage unit for the summer as she is a college student. On the day she is set to move her stuff into the storage, she was told the canceled her reservation without disclosure. When she Sked why they told her we do that when we get down to just a few units left and then it is first come first server without warning or disclosure.
