This was the only highly rated shop in Nampa that could get my Honda Element in soon to get some serpentine pulley noise looked at. Diagnosed as the water pump, they repaired it and I had it back in 24 hours.Very pleased with the quick service. Will definitely go back when I need something done.

Brought in my brothers orange chevy cobalt ss for a simple slave cylinder and clutch safety switch. He paid Tims auto repair $800.00 for a $100.00 dollar part from auto zone, and they didnt even complete the job. They said he would need to pay an additional $400 for a "special bracket." We towed the car home, and I finished the job in less than 5 min with honesty no tools. Literally just twisted the cylinder onto the firewall. They were trying to SCAM us. Also, come to find out they didn't even bleed the hydraulic fluid either. DO NOT TAKE VEHICLES HERE.

Great service, really good attention to detail, great communication all the way through and was less than the quote he gave us. He's our mechanic for life now.

I bought what I thought was a complete lemon from a used dealership in Boise. Oil leak. Called Tim's based off of Yelp reviews and he was super responsive. Told me to bring it in and he would take a look at it. I dropped it off in the morning and by that afternoon, he called me and told me it wasn't what I thought and was. Super easy fix. He cleaned all of the oil off the bottom of my car and did a complete check to see what needed to be fixed. It was just the oil plug leaking which was easy to fix. He also said my timing belt needed to be changed. He sent me an email detailing all the repairs needed and even attached a YouTube video about timing belts and how important they are! He gave me a super fair price to do all the work and had it done in about 2 days. I found my new mechanic!

They went above and beyond to help me figure out a brake drum I had ordered and installed myself was faulty. I also had general maintenance done through them on both of my cars due to their quality of work and great customer service, highly recommended.Services: General repairs & maintenance

Brought my crown victoria in for a small gas leak. Now when I get to 1/4 tank I run out of gas. Was left on the side of the road trying to get some gas. Poor quality and not professional.

*Update I'd previously given Tim's a glowing review, and since then I've gotten more insight. I took my vehicle there a few more times, and each time I had at least one thing go wrong. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, and kept thinking it's an older vehicle... yada yada yada.... The last thing I had them do for me was to replace a blower motor (heater fan). When I got my vehicle back the amount of air coming through the vents was dismal... I took it back to them to check their work. They said it was 100% on their end, and they thought my air ducts were clogged, they'd have to tear my whole dash apart to get to them and unclog them. So instead of just paying them to do that I looked into it. I switched the wires on the blower motor, and holy biscuits it started pumping out air like it was actually supposed to. So not only did the original guy hook it up wrong and never checked it to make sure he had it installed correctly, but the next guy who checked it when I brought it back weeks later said it was good as well. Had I gone with their plan I would have paid hundreds of dollars for them to do unnecessary work. It was literally two wires that needed to be switched, but the final knot in the noose for this place was what happens next: I called the shop to let them now what had happened. I informed them of the entire situation, and the gentleman I spoke to pretty much blew me off, and told me that he wasn't sure that's what was really wrong. I'm the one who swapped The wires, and got it working again! I told them how they charged me to check it out, and they guaranteed me their work was not the issue... No refund, no apologies, no admission of guilt, and at the end of the phone call the guy told me it would still be a good idea for me to bring my vehicle in to check the air ducts.... Seriously?!?! So if you like getting screwed, paying for fraudulent claims, and taking your vehicle to a place that performs arguably illegal stuff, take it to Tim's.
