Love shopping at Winco foods. Better prices then most other stores, and truly I love bagging my own groceries. I can put things away a little faster at home.

Loved shopping at winco until tonight. While me and my family were checking out through the self service checkouts, we witnessed a blatant act of aggression towards a non-English speaking family by a woman named Kristina, working the night shift on March 16th, at roughly 9:30pm. Instead of being kind and patient, she verbally YELLED at the family of three, when it was so blatantly obvious they did not know what she was saying. What was occurring is that they were accidentally holding a bag of groceries, unaware of the scales that are used to weigh them. She then ripped the bag pf groceries from the woman’s hands, and threw them down hard! Yelling at them again to “LEAVE IT!” Multiple times. This rubbed me and my family wrong, being of Latin heritage, and the area that we live in has a LARGE Latin community, it was grossly inappropriate and reeked of casual racism and aggression. When I had asked her about why she did that, she went on to say that it was between her and the customer (mumbling, no doubt ashamed or guilty, not expecting me to confront this behavior) and did not need to explain herself to me. When I asked her where her manager was, she was rude and dismissive, telling me “go look over there” while rolling her eyes at me, and was actively ignoring me and left to go to another guest. I did complain to management. Kristina, if you are read this review, or if anyone in management/corporate reads this, this was a disgusting act of aggression, and completely inappropriate. I cannot imagine how many other families or persons that have had the misfortune of experiencing her attitude and racism, given the fact that she was so comfortable doing it in front of my family and many other customers using the self checkout at the time. SHAME ON YOU. As someone who works EXCLUSIVELY in customer service and cares for my position as a leader at my job, I would undoubtedly FIRE someone for her actions. Racism appears in all shapes, sizes, and actions. It is not just words.

Go when the parking lot is not packed and you will have a grand experience! I don't like people so having a lot of people around while I'm trying to shop with my 18yr old minded adhd husband is just too much, but if I go when it's not busy this store is amazing. Always find what I need and then some.

Clean store, great bang for your buck. Definitely my favorite place to shop. I spent $350 on a month and a half worth of food for my family!

Great prices on meat and fresh fruits. Parking is ample, and checkout lines were easy to navigate. The shelves are well stocked, and sale items are nicely stocked.

Self checkout is strict. I had 21 items and the limit is 15.
They had 3 checkout stands open and I'd much rather go to a real person but each line was 8-10 people long and there were only 2 people at self checkout and 6 stations open....so you'd rather your coworkers have endless lines and no breaks and all these people waiting then let me go thru with a few extra items.
I told the lady I had 21 items and she laughed and said you have way more than that and blocked the entrance so I went to wait in line.
I understand it's 15 items to allow people with a few items to quickly get out of the store. But making me wait 30min in a line when self checkout is and was basically empty is just stupid. And to top it off I let a family go ahead of me since they had a toddler I felt bad that they had to wait so long but then they got to the payment and WinCo system cracked on that register and we had to wait another 7 mins for someone to fix it! Let's just say the toddler was over it. The ladies working said this happens all the time......
So I'd say skip this location and go to the one closer to the meridian. They actually have employees working the registers so you don't have to wait 30min or get turned away from a basically empty self checkout area.

It's always been the place for my the family to go to for groceries, inexpensive and stocked, most items there are cheaper than Walmart.
