Malheur Federal Credit Union was a great Small Town Bank and it was on top of everything they stayed dedicated they had fraud protection for their customers greatest Bank ever. Now that they've joined with Rogue I'm switching banks I had six cards in the last 7 months. They got no fraud protection they've got nothing it's worthless there's no reason why anyone should stay.

We love banking at the credit union. We went to get a loan. We didn't get it. The problem we had wasn't that we didn't it. It problem was the loan officer (Jolita Swanson) was rude. She talked to us like we were beneath her. We had to wait to meet with her and could hear her on the phone (she was rude to whom ever she was talking with). I help with all my husbands loans and banking stuff. She was snide and when ever we would ask a question to figure things out she kept saying WHO IS BUYING THE BOAT. My husband is a disabled veteran with PTSD and he finally had to walk out. We understand not getting the loan. It was just the treatment we received. Rude rude rude!!!!!

I have always had a good experience with the bank tellers here, but my latest contact with T.G. in the loan department was less than satisfactory. I have banked here for three years. I built my credit at this bank. I have had six different lines of credit. I've paid them all off early and on time. A 716 was my beacon score for this loan. I was interested in getting a loan for half the equity of my property, that I own free of debt. I had 20% of the amount I needed in my savings and a 90 day window for an investment opportunity. I had one debt. This bank took more than 30 days to deny my application. What irritated me the most was I specifically asked the bank not to waste my time, because I had less than 90 days. After the denial, I withdrew the majority of my funds and moved it to Idaho Central Credit Union (ICCU). I met with an ICCU loan agent and in one visit they told me I was a great candidate for a couple of loan options. They only needed two days, not 30, to qualify, and funds would be delivered within a week. ALSO, ICCU unlike MFCU, does online applications with Docusign electronic signature. I did not have to take off work to meet with them. I stayed loyal to MFCU thinking it would make a difference for my Oregon rural property loan application, when the reality was I received better services at a new bank.

I live in Salt Lake now, but because I bought my first car through these guys, I still have an account there. I used them for my second car loan (down here) and it was so easy. I used my SLC bank for my home loan and it was stressful and crazy and I had to keep calling MFCU to get information. They would apologize that it might take them twenty minutes to process something for me. Twenty minutes! It was amazing! I'll be doing all future loans though this hometown bank, for sure.

Great people working there, always friendly and helpful. They were who I went to for my first real bank account and have been with them for years. Recommend them 100%
