Some of the worst service I've ever received from a mechanic shop. I have used him 3 times now, out of desperation and convenance, as he is the only person around who will work on cars made before 2000. I needed a rear u-joint changed on my Volvo, i ended up doing it myself after the fact because he didn't realign the driveshaft, didn't use lock tite on the bolts, and didn't even put in the right size joint.
Secondly I decided to give him a second chance and brought him my 73 IH 1110, it needed a heater core rebuilt. He was able to do that perfectly, fixing the coolant leak. but in the process messed up all he wiring for the gauges. I also asked him to fix the fuel sender, which he did, but never wired it in.
I figured well that's fine, he did half the job really well, so i brought him my Volvo again, while i was waiting for an out of town mechanic that had me on a 4 month waiting list. I wanted to see if he could figure out the poor idle issue. He quoted me 550 dollars to change an ignition switch, which he did, and my car broke down leaving the parking lot. to which he told me the car ran fine, and i was lying. I tried to get my old switch back from him, but he didn't have it, no doubt reselling my OEM part second hand. in total I've spent nearly 3k on repairs with this gentleman and received nothing but a bad attitude and things I have to go behind him and fix myself.
