I had a very poor experience with Mr. Taylor. I did not see the agreement for his services until I picked up my taxes. The agreement basically says he will charge me more money if there is a problem and the IRS audits me. He does not stand behind his work. He was not very knowledgeable, professional or personable and charged an exorbitant rate. I would not recommend him to anybody.

I have been a satisfied client of Nyle G. Taylor CPA’s income tax preparation services for about 20 years. This service includes a tax organizer, which initially I did not use because it seemed like a lot of extra work that I could avoid by just bringing a folder full of tax documents to my yearly appointments. However, I eventually realized that the organizer provided the most efficient way to help me and NGT find all of the deductions that I was entitled to on my income tax returns. The present tax organizer is web based and much easier to use than past versions. All information from the previous tax year is shown next to blank spaces for present year entries. This helps guide the user through the process of data collection and entry. This also makes it easy to compare yearly changes and difficult to overlook any reportable tax related item. When finished, the user can upload any necessary tax documents, push a send button, and the organizer is transmitted to NGT. User data are then checked and verified by NGT before being transferred to applicable income tax forms for user review prior to submission to tax agencies. In my opinion, this process works extremely well.
I retired in 2005, and moved from Pocatello to Arizona in 2008. The web income tax organizer allows me to continue to use the trusted and cost-effective tax preparation services of Nyle Taylor by providing a secure tax communication environment in lieu of traditional office appointments, even while I live a thousand miles away. Any tax questions are easily resolved by phone. I highly recommend using the web based income tax organizer and Nyle G Taylor CPA for all of your tax preparation services.

I think Mr. Taylor's cheese has slipped off his cracker. I was very dissatisfied with his service. He is sloppy, unethical and unprofessional. My wife and I made the mistake of having our taxes done by Nyle. The initial visit lasted for about an hour, 20 minutes of which was him asking for a job for his son and idle chit chat. I'm sure he charged me for all the time. It took him over five minutes to put the correct SS# in the right box and I finally had to slowly read the number to him while he entered it in the correct box. All he did was transfer information to a software program, but could not figure out how to input income from a 1099 and charged, God only knows how much, to "research" how to enter the information. He also did not know what a health savings account was and I had to tell him what it was and how it worked. I found out after my taxes were done how much he trusted his own work when I was asked to sign an agreement for services. This should have been done at the beginning of the process, not at the payment phase. His agreement states that if the IRS has a problem with the return, he will represent the client only if the client pays additional monies. Pretty unethical if you ask me. Furthermore, when I emailed him to see if he had everything he needed to file my taxes, his reply made reference to somebody else, whom I didn't know, and made no sense to me. When I sent another email to try and clarify his first response, he only confused things further with nonsense. I finally had to call and find out what he was talking about and see if he had all the necessary information to file my taxes. After about five minutes, and me reading the emails to him; he figured out who he was talking to and said he thought I was someone else; even though, I signed both emails and used the email address I had supplied to him for my contact information. The last straw for me was after I figured out how to see if my return had been filed and an estimated date of deposit, no deposit was made. I looked closer at the return and found that he had omitted the last four digits of my bank account number. Apparently, this has happened a lot because when I called to inform him of his error and see what needed to be done, he immediately responded with "They will send a check." Finally, when I filed a complaint with the better business bureau, he lied in his response and revealed personal information about me. I thought Turbo Tax was bad until I encountered Nyle Taylor, slip shod CPA. Unless you want to pay a lot of money to have your taxes butchered by an incompetent buffoon, do not let this man near your taxes.

I have had Nyle prepare my taxes while living in North Carolina, Indiana and Idaho. I love that he is able to accomplish all of our correspondence via email and the phone. Everything has always been easy and smooth with him preparing my taxes.

Nyle has done my tax returns for many years. He is easily accessible, and has very reasonable rates. He has saved our business a lot of money by making sure he counts every possible deduction, plus he has helped to structure the business to keep taxes to the lowest possible rate. Also, our personal tax returns are always much higher than we expect. His office staff is top notch, always friendly. I have no complaints. I highly recommend him to everybody.

Unprofessional, unethical. I wouldn't recommend this cpa to anyone. The first year I used this office it was done by an intern who was a friend of mine working there. The 2nd year I continued because I realized Nyle was the father of someone I went to high school with. I tried using him this last tax season and my tax return was way different. When asked why he said that I made more money but my expenses were less. Not true. The problem was that ISU had submitted my expenses inaccurately. I had proof there with me that what was submitted was inaccurate but Nyle told me he couldn't submit anything other than what they had sent me. I called ISU and was on the phone with them on 2 seperate occasions for a total of a half hour. During which Nyle stepped out and went to work on some other patient or project. After gettingnoff the phone for both cases I had to wait for him to come back. When he couldn't do anything else for me I told him I wanted to research this more and to hold off submitting my taxes. I then called a family friend and was told that I should have been able to submit my school expense differences. I also mentioned that Nyle was giving me a lot of days as a per diem since I worked a summer job in a different state. I was taught and shown later that that is an unethical practice in tax breaks and that if I were to be audited that could make me owe a lot more that I was saving or getting back. Then a few days after meeting with Nyle I received an email responding to an email I sent asking about what I had heard on the college expenses where he told me that he didnt mind taking a stance on a tax return as long as it was supported by the facts and to keep in mind that he all ready had 2.5 hours invested in this at 150.00 / hour. I couldn't believe he counted the 1/2 on the phone and the time I spent waiting. Unbelievable. As of 6/3/14. For the record, my "buddy" is Neil Furniss, CPA in Pocatello. The "fictitious information" he put in was the tax info provided by ISU for 2012 and 2013 and the expense report provided by ISU showing the differences in what was submitted and what was shown. As stated before, it is an outright lie to say that Nyle took any initiative in emailing me because he "thought this was going to drag on" because after meeting Neil, (the very first time ever in my life was the same day I left Nyle's office) I sent the email to Nyle asking if he could submit the differences with the expense report for school. It wasn't the other way around. Also, Neil showed me in "A Tax Book" where the deduction is stated clearly. Maybe Nyle doesn't understand the concept that professionals, lawyers, and other CPAs have collaborated a document for the instruction of a more ethical filling of tax returns according to how audits and rulings in very particular and similar situations have turned out for people. I'm not a genius, but I can read and I do do my homework before I make any allegation. Once again Nyle, you fail to mention that it was your suggestion to research and call ISU. If you didn't mean right then, you should have clarified right then. I elected to go with another CPA because of your unprofessional responses to the valid concerns I had. All of my documentation was prepared and presented to Nyle and Neil with no variation. One simply was able to fulfill the role of the accountant needed. Period.

I received this from one of my clients: I have worked with Nyle Taylor since 1998. He does the accounting, quarterly report, payroll to basically everything else for my three restaurants. He is a very trustworthy person to work with. He and his staffs are friendly and they get the job done on a timely manner. He is very knowledgeable in his accounting skills and would recommend the most efficient way to do business. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for someone who is friendly, trusting, professional, and gets the job done. Derek Tran owner of Mongolian Grill

Having Nyle do our taxes was a great experience for us. We had just moved to a different state and gotten married. We had two different returns from two different states. Nyle was able to do them without any problems and in timely manner. It was very affordable and he did a really good job. I recommend his business.
