I like to support locally owned businesses. I needed a buck converter. Super simple & small item, I can source these from Amazon, Ebay, adafruit. Even directly from China if I want for about $1.00 a piece some places even less.
1 single buck converter is $25 at this store!!! Thats not the cost of running a store front. Thats greed. Im happy to pay a markup so I can pick up my parts locally and get it faster than shipping. Paying $8-$10 for one at a store front is understandable. I'm paying for convenience at that point. Paying $25 for a PCB board the sice of a quarter is disgusting. And its not Tarrifs. If I can get super cheap prices for the same product online, so can a business.
This is the 7th or 8th time. That i have needed something and sought out Radio Shack to source it. And everytime I walk away and buy it online because the markup are insane. Im done trying to give this store my business. Im gonna go spend $25 online and get 50 of these things shipped to my door.

I give this place five stars because of the people and the way they handle their customers, I came in and presented My issue And they presented a solution.
I don’t go to businesses, looking for friends I go looking to give them my business, the guys here make me want to go make friends, They were friendly enough to strike a conversation and now they have a lifelong customer as their customer service is top-notch On top of they did fix my issue for a lot cheaper than anywhere else in town

Vern's radio shack is conveniently located along Yellowstone. The Sales Clerk was very helpful in showing all the available SD cards and giving me options for what I needed.
