If I were to choose one word to describe my experience, it would have to be "Awful ".Two separate days I had to mis work in order to be available for the service call. Both times no one showed up. Nor did I get a call telling me that no one was going to show up. But at the end of the day, I got an e-mail telling me that the service call had been completed. Now I really doubt that you'll be putting this on the reveiws for your customers to read, but take note. When my tank does run out of gas, I will be having the tank removed, and will no longer be doing business with Amerigas.

This company has really gone downhill. I am set up for automatic payments. I then get a past due notice, and when I check my account, it says that I am still enrolled in auto pay, and the amount will be deducted which it never did. I called and spoke to seven different people, who barely spoke English, I could barely understand them, and they all told me it was basically some problem with my credit card, which it wasn’t. I was then transferred to the automatic pay portal via telephone and start entering my credit card number as requested and the menu automatically interrupts me and starts asking me if I live in Virginia, if I want to Propane delivery , etc. I don’t know what’s going on with this company , you have customer service representatives that barely understand and speaking English your payment system is completely messed up, you keep upping the charge rate for tank rentals when originally it was $90 and now you say it’s based on partly your Propane usage which is absolute extortion. You also overcharge for Propane when local propane companies have it for at least one to two dollars cheaper. And to add to this list of absolute dismal performances by this company when I talk to your Propane driver, he doesn’t even even live in the area. He’s down here working from another state because no one wants to work for your company. He doesn’t know the roads he doesn’t know where the tanks are It’s ridiculous. If I wasn’t renting a tank from this company, I would abruptly stop doing business with you.

Tank was hooked up quickly and the instructions for getting a pad ready were clear. The only issue, which I assume has been addressed, is the person filling the tank noticed that the visual fullness needle wasn’t responding or indicating the fullness of the tank. He said he would relay that issue to the person who set the tank. I don’t know if the issue has been resolved.

I purchased the used tank from Amerigas that was there when I moved into my RV spot. It took 2 phone calls and 2 e-mails to get the signed title. The service was always slow, only get to speak to reps that I can barely understand and their rates are price gouging.

Where do I even begin. We had one tank filled a year ago and that driver was very professional and punctual. He told me he was changing jobs after that.Next time I called we got a different driver. Once I actually got the offshore reps to understand me, they said they placed a ticket and someone would be calling me right back. Nothing. Called back and ticket wasn’t placed. They placed a ticket and told driver would be there the next day. Waited and waited and waited. No driver. The next day the driver showed up unannounced and said “oh yeah I tried calling yesterday and no one answered so I went home.” No one called. He said he “didn’t drive the gas truck today so he couldn’t fill it but he’d be back tomorrow. Never showed. The next time he showed up he asked to take a piss in our driveway. (Seriously). At this point we were already so fed up we told him to take the tank out. He said he would be back next week with a helper to take the tank out. Let’s see that was at least 6 months ago.-communication available is terrible-driver representation is below terrible

Who ever is running this place is a shyster. $4.20 a gallon is asinine. Other propane companies are way less and don’t have ridiculous fees for everything. It’s amazing how ace hardware can sell theirs for $2.85 a gallon and still make a profit. Call around people, you’ll find out that other propane companies sell it for way less, AND when you call them you DONT get sent to a call center in India- you actually talk to reps in Spokane or Post Falls. Amerigas has terrible customer service and is seems a corrupt owner is running this establishment. I bet the 5 star reviews are fake on here. Criminal. Call their competitors- one is offering a $1.99 a gallon for new customers first fill up.Edit- In reply to your generic call center post: I can’t believe you guys are still in business. Folks, this company is nothing but corruption, lies, and deceit. No, I’m not emailing you, I’m making this public. Thanks!!

This place has always gone above and beyond to rip their customers off. The local drivers and local workers are nice enough, but they apparently no longer take calls. When you call them you get someone in a call center in India. They are charging $4.20 per gallon when just down the road Ace hardware is selling it for $2.85. Yeah I know they have a call center and offer 24 hour support, but when their English is so poor (and I’m very good with understanding people who don’t speak English very well) that you can only catch a few of the words and they absolutely will not help you with anything- what am I really paying for? I know they also are driving out to my house too, but they are also additional fees they charge for that. One year they talked me into doing the automatic fill. They’d come out every month as opposed to the 3 times a year I’d normally have them out- guess what- yep, my yearly bill more than doubled. I confronted them- this was back when you could actually reach someone locally, and they gave me some discounts on my next couple fills, but could not answer me as how this was so. They also have a habit of bleeding off a large amount after each and every fill. Again, I think the local drivers are nice, but you can tell that their company forces them to have these shady corrupt practices. This company is pure evil.

I was quoted a lower price than I was billed for when I called for pricing and setting a delivery date. When discovered, I called the 800 support number. I'm SICK and TIRED of speaking to an offshore (Philippines) customer support team for an American (AmeriGas...really?) company when trying to resolve issues!Additionally, the itemized fees included in the bill are pathetic. I should not be paying for things like "safety training" when purchasing propane gas. I expect to pay for propane gas only. I have been an AmeriGas tank renting customer for over 20 years and receive no better treatment than a brand new customer.

As usual it was a fiasco. Office called to say driver couldn’t find house (it hasn’t moved! We live as the end of a road and no traffic came along the road that day so lie number 1 was they came. The person that arrived a few days later, on the stealth mission, without any delivery update, said he didn’t have us on the schedule until that day.Our previous delivery to our Rathdrum house took weeks and we were totally out of propane so America’s wanted to charge me $75 to restart it. This was then waivered but I had to be at the house. My father in law was dying, he died May 27th, I was due to go for surgery May 25th and waiting for Amerigas 50 miles from where I was supposed to be helping my mother in law care for her husband. And amerigas continued to lie.Like most people if there was an alternative in the area I would find another provider immediately. You provide propane eventually, delivery quotes are a lie and never met, there is no financial compensation when someone takes time off work for the phantom delivery worker an$ I f you call you will eventually get someone in the Philippines that don’t understand a British accent and are trained to get you off the phone as soon as possible. If all else fails the dropped call always adds to the experience. When I ask them yo confirm my phone number so they can call me back when the call drops there is silence at the other end. You will be proud to know their trainin* works, then never return the call.WORST COMPANY EVER AND I CANNOT WAIT TO MOVE INTO TOWN SO I CAN CANCEL SERIVE AT ALL 3 RESIDENCYS

Yet again, you did not deliver on your commitment. You quoted me a price for your tank two years ago, said that I could buy it, then, when I went to pay for it, you said you are no longer selling your tanks. You made a commitment and you did not follow through. I will never use you guys again. All of your competitors sell their tanks, I will not be a customer much longer.

Customer service was very poorly trained. I was not given the option of dealing with a local office so, it wasn't even possible to use their business! I would love to lease a tank and purchase propane. After speaking with 3 customer service reps, they could not give me straight answers about price or setup. Anybody know of an AmeriGas competitor that likes money? :(

They should get NO STARS. Horrible customer service with the call center. They can't do anything about customer issues. I called to have my tank PICKED UP and they filled it instead. It took months to have the tank picked up. It was completely full and they have only given me 30% back as credit so far. I will never do business with Amerigas again.***Update*** I did email them at the email address they provided. They credited back 100% of the propane and apologized for the inconvenience. They were prompt on their response and credit after I left this review.

In my 71 years of life, this is the worst communication that I have ever received from any company. The call center in the Phillipines is totally disconnected from the local people. The last two months of effort to get my tank refilled has been a horrible experience. The local service person gets an A for effort and competence. The corporate policies and failure to integrate with the local staff gets an F as a total failure. I don't believe this company can stay in business without major revisions as to how it communicates with customers and staff. The people at the call center are very nice to deal with but the company policies have totally isolated them from what is actually happening locally. It is just very sad!

I have been trying to speak to someone about a delivery for days and am only able to speak to someone at a call center (probably in India) and have been disconnected repeatedly. When I ask for a call back if disconnected they don't call back. When I ask to speak to a supervisor they disconnect and don't call back. Now, all I wan to do is close my account and get a local company that I can speak directly to. Don't use this company!!!

Greg was our first delivery man and he gave us outstanding service! Since then we have not interacted with the delivery guys, but it is super easy to get online and order a fill and also to pay online. Your price is competitive as well! Thank you!
