Very traumatic experience terrible communication that left my girlfriend crying and confused. Not professional at all they are supposed to help you through things not be frantic and act like they have no idea what's happening. Won't be going back way overpriced for the quality of service and lack of knowledge.

Intentional cruelty beyond understanding. My mama is 80 years old. Her cat, Spencer, has been her best friend and companion for over 9 years. She called me at 2am hysterical saying Spencer might be dying. When I picked them up his breathing was very slight. Although I knew the stories about Emergency Pet Care, it was very close and open 24 hours. At the time we felt they were our only option. When we arrived, all was good. They took him back and informed us he had pneumonia and would need to stay one or 2 nights. We believed what we were told until the next day when Annie Bowes called me. She said Spencer was suffering with only a 30% chance of survival. She suggested more x-rays and having them sent to a specialist (There happens to be a specialist who shares her office space).Sadly, we don't have thousands of dollars, so I said I would bring my mom right in to say goodbye. When we arrived, the nightmare began… The attendant was cruel, mimicking my mom's words with a sarcastic tone… "oh, you want to see your dying kitty?", she said it more than once. She got frustrated and blurted out there was NO DOCTOR ON DUTY..... WHAT??? This emergency pet care clinic does NOT HAVE A VET on duty at all times to watch over our beloved pets in critical care or rushed in for emergencies? We got extremely upset and acted in ways that we normally would not. That was the first time I have ever heard my sweet mommy say curse words. So, they kicked us out into the parking lot and both parties called police. The policeman agreed to escort my 80 year old Mama inside so she could say goodbye to her companion of over 9 years. They said NO!! They gave her two choices… either euthanize Spencer without her seeing him one last time OR they would being him to the parking lot, off oxygen, while gasping for air and suffocating to death. We had no choice but to have them euthanized. They called and asked if we wanted his remains brought outside. I said yes and we waited and waited and waited. They finally called and demanding payment before remains would be released but ordered me to sit in my car before they would discuss anything and promptly hung up. It was bizarre. I said, that’s enough of their games, demands and abuse while my mom suffered. I took her home.IT GETS WORSE… Annie Bowes called me the next day and stated Spencer had been suffering all night and my mom could come in and say goodbye now. WHAT???? More bizarre behavior. We had been waiting for his remains the previous day!! My Mom had already been grieving Spencer all night! I did not have the heart to tell her he was suffering the previous day and night while we were grieving his death. The final kicker… they charged my card $1700 without final authorization after they had assured me they would not do that because I told them we were splitting the cost. That place is a SHADY SHOP OF HORRORS!!

I am an 80 year old woman and my kitty, Spencer has been my best friend and companion for over 9 years. We took my Spencer to this Emergency Pet "Care" at 2am. My daughter was concerned about their reputation but they were the only place close. Spencer was foaming at the mouth and not breathing well. We were in distress and couldn't imagine professionals would end up being uncaring and cruel. After arriving the vet took x rays and said Spencee had pneumonia and would have to stay 1 or 2 nights. The next day Annie Bowes called my daughter and said Spencer had a 30% chance of surviving but they could do MORE X-rays and send them to a specialist (we noticed a specialist happens to share their office space) but the outcome didn't look good. My daughter called the clinic back to say she was brining me to say goodbye. I was distraught and walked in without calling. They usually keep the door locked at ALL times, (probably because many people are angry with careless treatment) but it was unlocked this time. They were shocked to see me inside and I said "I'm here to see my dying kitty". At first the attendant said okay but looked annoyed. I asked again and she mocked my words. She was rude and cruel. My daughter was angry after seeing how I was treated and the attendent began mocking and provoking us. It seemed like we were interrupting her day. She blurted out "there is no doctor here right now!!!" Why are beloved pets, in critical care, there without a certified Vet? Because we were rightfully upset, they ordered us to the parking lot with the threat of police so I called police from the parking lot myself and explained. An officer came and asked if he could escort me in to say goodbye to my kitty. We asked to the officer if he could escort me inside to say goodbye. He came out and relayed they said NO! He said they gave me the choice to either have them uthanize Spencer without saying goodbye or they would take him off oxygen and give him to me in the parking lot while he would be gasping for air and suffocating to death. What kind of cruelty, downright evil is that??? My daughter told them we didn't want Spencer to suffer anymore and gave permission to put him to sleep. I was so distraught, I still am. We waited and waited until finally they called to ask if we wanted Spencer's remains brought outside. We said yes and still no one came. They called my daughter again and said they wanted payment before we could have his remains. Because my daughter had calmly told ONE customer why we were outside crying, they ordered my daughter to sit in the car and before they would take payment and give us remains and they hung up on her. That's when we said we have taken enough orders and suffered enough abuse as they used my dying cat as a pawn for control. After the callous, stone cold behaviour I witnessed while I was crying in emotional pain, I fear what they may have done to Spencer behind closed doors. To act how they did, I'm sure they ARE capable of horrible doings. I don't even know details about what Spencer went through that day. When we called for information we were left on hold. They REFUSED to let me see my Spencer. I wanted my face to be the last he saw, not cruel strangers. On top of all that, they charged $1700 without the final approval. We were assured they would not charge the card without it. They are the worst... Liars, greedy and dark evil doers. PLEASE spare your fur baby the pain of this place.

Cruel people. Mocked my grandmother, an 80 year old woman, as her cat she had for 9 years was dying for wanting to see it one final time. To the point where both parties called the police they still even with police escort refused to let her visit her cat until after it was dead the next day. They also decided to charge 1,600 dollars for the whole insulting affair it would seem. I don't know how they look at themselves in the mirror every day but they sure don't belong around people going through a hard time. I've since heard stories from others as well that speak equally as poorly but they can leave a review themselves if the mood strikes them.

My 80-year-old sister was treated rudely and mocked by the staff at this place because she was upset about her dying pet. She was not allowed to be with her cat when he died. There is too much to this horror story to write here, but if you care about your pet, don't go to this place.

This place is mild of the road. Can they do some things? Yes. Will they do it correctly? Thats the toss up. All ER visits are expensive. Here's our case, and you can make your own assessment. We show up about 730 pm, we got in right away. My dog had a laceration on her paw which we knew would need stiches. The Vet came in and agreed and informed us she needed to be sedated and the stiches, "should take about an hour" she said. Great, they took her back and about an hour later she comes out all drunk from the sedation. We were given antibiotics and anti-inflammatory meds.Fast forward a day later, we take of the bandage per the written instructions from the Vet. They left about 1/2" gap in her paw where there should be a stich. I call the vet, they're busy but will call me asap. About 2 hours later I get the call back. I explain that there is an open gap on her foot, about 1/2" or more, and with every step she takes it opens more. What do we do? The lady at the vet clinic tells me " She probably left the gap for drainage to prevent abscess. If you want, you can come back in and we will look at it and could put a staple in it. But we might have to sedate her to put it in." I asked her "will I be charged for any of this if I come back in?" She says "Not for us to look at it, but if we have to sedate her, you will be charged for that."Since I paid $770 to have my dog properly stitched up and taken care of to begin with, personally I don't think it is fair that they charge me again to sedate my dog when they did not complete the work that they told me they would do.For that alone, I do not recommend this business. If they're all you got, its better than nothing. But do not let this be your first pick.

I brought my dog here because he was clearly ill. They confirmed he had a fever, and I informed them of a disease he tested positive for. Even with that knowledge, the vet told me he's experiencing arthritis pain, and the fever is from prolonged pain. We received pain medication, and we were on our way.5 days later, my dog can not carry his own weight or lift his head. Another ER informed us he has a serious infection. The next day we had to put him down. I believe my dog would have had a fighting chance if we received antibiotics rather than pain medication. After all, we knew he had a fever and information of a positive disease test.

The worst place I’ve ever taken my pet to. X-rays were so bad I had to pay $600 more 2 weeks later with a specialist and thank God I did!! ER recommended I cut off leg. Specialist said no way puppies fine. Goes to show Always get a second opinion!!!

Pretty disappointed in the service we got here. Our dog was suddenly very very sick and the 2nd time we took him in the vet didn't even look at him. I feel like they just wanted to take our money. They gave us medication and he had one dose and sadly he died over night. I didn't feel like they cared at all. And all of our money was spent on them to help him get better which wasn't the case

It's never good to have to visit an emergency veterinarian's office for obvious reasons. This is the second time we've had to come for different pets unfortunately. Although this is always stressful, the care that is provided and the professionalism of the staff has been outstanding! If you ever find a need for such a service and honestly a piece of mind, I strongly recommend this establishment. I hope to never need their services again but trust them emphatically if I do. Thank you Emergency Pet Care for everything you do for our pets!
