When my Golden Retriever, Maxey Poo, was sick a couple years ago, they got him in right way. He had a bleeding mass on his spleen, and either needed an emergency surgery or to be euthanized. They did surgery right away. They took out his spleen, and recovered him over night at a neighboring hospital. Here he is 2 years later, at the young age of 15 years old! Still thriving! He's my best friend, and I'm so very grateful for these extra years I've had with him because of the care he received at VCA! I can't be more grateful.

Incredibly quick with their services, immediate availability to get my dog examined, very kind and patient staff, doctor was extremely honest with me, very kind and very understanding too. In one visit as a new patient, my dog got an exam, nails clipped, a lapoma tested, glands expelled, and antibiotics prescribed. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes, and the fees were VERY fair (I think I paid just over $300 for everything included). Seriously, this is one of the most reasonably-priced vet offices I've ever been to (way cheaper than the east coast!) with some of the nicest, most patient staff I've met, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to someone else.

Do not take your pet here . I've had my blessed Palm Chi for 12 years she's been extremely healthy until recently. I took her in last month and the vet did a lab work and said she had hypothyroidism . She prescribed levothyroxine one tablet 0.1 mg twice a day . Trusting her I began the medication she was to return last Wednesday and she did to have the blood drawn to see her level . Wednesday afternoon she began having continual diarrhea vomiting wouldn't drink water I was having to give her Pedialyte and water as it turned out over the next several days by syringe , I called 2 days in a row for the lab results kept being told they haven't come in . I stopped giving her just something told me not to give her any more thyroid so on Friday I did not give her the evening dose Saturday and Sunday I decided not to give her any because she was still having diarrhea I was still having to give her water by syringe and I'd had her on nothing but rice for several days . I went to bed on Saturday night praying what is wrong what do I need to do and I felt inside get up and look up the dosage . Well it's supposed to be dosed 0.1 mg per 10 lb of body weight . My little dog weighs just a couple ounces over 11 lb . She was getting overdosed by almost double what she should be getting and if I had not looked it up and not stop the thyroid it could have killed her . Now I don't know if the vet made the mistake in her prescribing or if in the people in the back who are feeling the prescriptions made the mistake . But it would seem reasonable to me that no medication should go out without that vet having the last look when it was filled to make sure it was filled correctly . And I am sad because I'm retired RN and I generally would have checked but I trusted this vet I figured she had dosed correctly I will never do that again I'll never assume . But what really got me is this morning I called for the lab results that I still haven't gotten now on Monday I started back giving her one in the morning I gave her one yesterday and one this morning because she's improved she's quit the diarrhea she's not vomiting she started eating again and she's drinking on her own . So I reversed the issue with her being overdosed thank God . But the icing on the cake was this morning when I called for the lab results the lady at the desk looked it up and said oh yes they're in they're on her desk but she won't be back till Friday . Now this is a critical new diagnosis and his lab values are critical to know and you would think that if she was going to be out of town that she would have appointed a vet to look at these Labs as soon as they came in and notify me . That's what a caring vet would have done . I will never take my dog back to her or to that clinic again . I will feel refill the medication and give it once a day until I can find a new vet but I am so heartbroken and disgusted at how close I came to losing my dog because of carelessness .I told the lady at the phone that answered the desk what had happened and I got in response I'll put a note in her chart . That's How concerned this Veterinary Hospital isFor the first time since last Wednesday she has had a normal BMPom/chi , voice text doesn't always print what I saidMistakes can happen , but this was a serious mistake and one that I would think if there was any real caring here that I would be contacted and made right I mean truthfully somebody needs to consider the mistake and why it happened was purely not accurate oversight to make sure that the dose for my dog was correct . Because it wasn't in any way . Never being sick never being on any medication and not to see that the normal starting dose would have been 0.1 mg once a day or half of that twice a day . But not 0.1 mg twice a day because it almost killed her . Today's the first fully normal day she's had since last Wednesday and it would have never happened had I not looked at the normal starting dose for her weight and

We have had both our puppies at Vca and couldn’t be happier! They take amazing care of the fur babies that come in and do an excellent job explaining things in detail and do a great job for a great price. As young pet owners , they have a great payment plan for our pups that is so affordable. Every veterinarian we’ve ever experienced there is hands down amazing.

Pros. Very very sweet Dr. Ramirez she would have treated my dog for kennel cough but gave me the option because of pricing to get x-rays which I said yes to and I also asked for sedation which he needed and she did inform me of the extra charge. She let us know the prices before we agreed. We have been going here and not changed because that's were the shelter recommended around me. I LOVE that they have a side door for animal aggressive dogs. I love the way they treated my sweet Bark Ruffalo. After the x-rays came back and we did extra blood work we were informed he had cancer. In two places. So it really is up to the human to decide how much they want to spend and how far they want to go. The only reason I'm taking away two stars is because this is by far the most expensive vet in post falls, CDA and Spokane valley. Pricing would not have changed the outcome but if we had chose to make my dog fight the cancer it would be impossible at these prices.

Best vet ever. Caring and compassion for our cat and for us. Can't say enough good about this place. Just wish I found them sooner! Kyle Reijm is probably the most caring and compassionate vet we have had. We took our cat Zoey in due to idiopathic chylothorax. Dr. Reijm and his staff are the reason we will continue to come back. The absolute care and confidence they exhude when we were emotionally taxed is nothing short of remarkable. They called to check up on our Zozo and helped guide us through a very difficult time. We will continue to come here and I HIGHLY recommend this vets office. Dr. Reijm and his staff are pure gold and thank goodness we got so lucky to find them! And this is from a guy (me) who trusts nobody with my beloved Zoey....but I damn sure trust Dr. Reijm and the staff. I have been to many vets, this place had me on day 1. I wish all vets were this amazing, caring and compassionate. And the front office staff: it doesn't get better than these folks. Amazing and put you at ease with a caring smile. What an absolutely phenomenal group of people from A to Z!

I stopped going here years ago but when my little dog started crying all day for no reason, VCA was able to get him in sooner. They charged me $500 for a visit and x-rays and still had no answers for me. I called back a few weeks later when his pain worsened and they said it would be a follow up and asked if I wanted the same doctor. I said no and because of that, when I got there they charged me for a new visit ($141) and told me it was probably his teeth which they wanted me to charge me $1,574-$1,967 for. I am sickened by the way they take advantage of animal lovers, knowing we will do anything for our pets!
