I can't express enough gratitude for Ian. When our bike broke down at a gas station, Ian stopped to help us without hesitation. His kindness and expertise turned a stressful situation into a positive experience. He quickly diagnosed the issue and helped us get back on the road. It's rare to find such genuine and helpful people, and Ian truly went above and beyond. You're in great hands with Ian!

It takes an outstanding experience for me to leave a review and I had to let everyone know that’s exactly what I experienced with Ian. We suddenly experienced a break down and while my wife and I were trying to push start the bike Ian introduces himself. He offered immediately to help, which isn’t anything out of the ordinary necessarily however Ian then went way above and beyond. He told me he owned a shop and wanted to help. He diagnosed the problem in the parking lot, he went to his truck and got the tools required to repair the problem, then when the bike needed a jump start went and bought cables to get us back on the road. Furthermore he offered to have a battery delivered and install it or load the bike up in his truck to save us the hassle of the tow truck and take it to his shop until a battery could be delivered. He then gave us the set of cables he bought just in case we needed them to get back home because I decided to risk it. All of us are looking for a great family owned business who does the right thing when no one is looking and exceeds expectations and I’m telling you this is the place to go! If he will do all this for a stranger then there is no question the quality service you will get as a customer! I made it home safe thanks to Ian and so will you.

Had mackins auto do a injector replacement on my 2000 international dt466e. Had broke down 2 doors down from owners house so did at his home, after not being able to get ahold of him for several days via phone, I went to house. Found hood open valve.cover, turbo and another orifice open with no plastic, towel or anything covering g them. I woke Ian when I arrived so the state I found it in was at very least overnight, more.likely few days. Was told injectors from oreillys were wrong injectors so was getting them from diesel connection out of Ohio. Come to find out later that wasn't the case and supposedly came from advanced auto. Called advanced in town and no record of purchase of injectors for my vehicle. Few days later got text showing truck running and went and paid $4500+ and jumped in to drive away. Roughly 1 mile down road started pulling codes and went into limp mode. Beginning to wonder if injectors were replaced as I have asked Ian for receipt for injectors so as to have if and when I sell truck. For some reason can't get him to respond or send over a receipt.

Ian is legit. Had a bushing for my gear shifter go out while I was at work. He came out within the hour with the part in-hand and had it working within 10 minutes. Will be coming to him to get some more work done.

I called Ian about my situation with my front and back light cases on my 2016 Nissan Rogue. He responded immediately, came out to me and knocked it out in no time !!! Ian saved my kids!! We are from WA state and my daughter and her boyfriend broke down in post falls on their way home. They called the closest mechanic shop and Ian answered right away. He told them to save money on a tow truck and he would come to them. He showed up and said they through a rod and the motor was shot. He took them home with him and took care of them until we figured out what we wanted to do as far as the car and getting them home. He offered to load the car up on a trailer and my kids in his truck and bring them back to Washington for a more then fair fee. During times like these, he gave me hope. He reminded me there are still good people in this world willing to help others in a time of need. As a mom, I couldn’t be more thrilled my kids met Ian. He saved the day! Ian is absolutely wonderful and I fully recommend him. I am from out of town and my coolant system cracked when I was in Post Falls on a Saturday. I called him and he actually answered. He came over to where I was staying and diagnosed what he thought was wrong. I limped my car to his shop and he worked on Saturday and Sunday to get it done. He even changed my oil and serpentine belt (which he did not charge me for) because the belt was old and to replace it would require taking the engine all apart again. Called Ian’s automotive and told him my breaks were horrible and I needed to get them done before work tomorrow due to using my car all day at work he was the only place that I could get into and for a great price! Ian ordered the parts and started around 7pm and had them done in under an hour! I would highly recommend this business for any automotive needs!!Services: Brakes

Came out to my business after I called about what I thought was an oil leak. Let me know that I was fine and everything was normal according to my levels and and oil changes and didn't charge anything, highly recommend!
