Well had my first burn and cooked me out (Just what i wanted). Sales and install folks have been A-1. And when i opened the manual paperwork they put in Gospel of John. Very nice touch. As a believer put a smile on my face as time is getting short in this crazy world. God Bless you folks at Kuma and anyone still on the fence with God your time is slipping away.

Great customer service from the moment we walked in the door. The man helping us got me the parts I needed and was kind enough to explain the replacement procedures, as a bonus he directed us to a good lunch spot nearby. Very happy

I cant speak highly enough of Kuma Stoves. I had purchased a stove from them initially due to their nice design and performance characteristics. I had an issue with my stove, and Jason was extremely helpful in resolving that issue. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a woodstove, not only because they look and run great, but because the team at Kuma is so awesome, their customer service is 10/10!!

Wood classic LE. Great experience. Professional install and the stove is a clean simple design that burns clean and hot. Really easy to regulate temperature and the ash pan makes ash removal super easy.

My wife and I have a very nice, but small house. Natural Gas furnace and water heater. Electricity of course. And a whole house generator.
What if the furnace dies in the Winter? What if the utility service somehow cannot supply NG? Almost happened this Winter. If NG wasn't available, we could hustle to plug in some small electric heaters here and there. Could the electric power fail too, at the same time as NG. Unlikely. Or maybe, in todays world. ??
Time for a wood stove. Except our house is small with no place to put a typical wood stove. And, is there a good small stove that can also be used to cook with?
BINGO! KUMA STOVES to the rescue.
KUMA has come out with a Cook Stove. Small footprint. Wood burning stove in the bottom, oven on top with adjustable shelves for baking. And a removable cast iron griddle on top. And some options available to make cooking even more satisfying. Its clearances and hearth requirements suited our home perfectly. The stove heat output provides enough heat to keep our house warm enough if the NG and electricity are both off line. Besides, a wood stove makes a big difference when the weather is cold AND damp. So we bought their new Applewood Cook Stove and since we live just a few miles away from KUMA, had them install it too.
With inspection passed, I built a simple top down kindling starter in the stove and then added some wood for a good 5 hour first-burn. The burn was efficient with only a little smoke during fire starter & kindling burn . Totally invisible burn for the entire 5+ hours using good, dry wood. Great heat output! Easy starting and it worked great.
Three days later, I did a second burn. This time I cut ten, thin discs off of an Energy Log and used five of them to make a sort of "teepee" around a fire starter. Once these got going, I added the remaining discs and let that burn well, mostly with all of them into hot ashes. Draft rod open all the way during this process.
Eventually I placed just one Energy Log on top of the glowing ashes. In a very short time, the log caught. From them on for more than 6 hours, I had the draft rod pushed in just a bit. This burn took care of any final new-paint smell. Doors and windows open with a slight breeze on this also warm weather day, it was easy to make 80 degrees within several feet of the stove. The far ends of our little house were catching up. The Applewood stove is an easy starter, and it works great! We haven't cooked in the oven or done anything on top yet. I tinkered with the draft control and found that it was pretty easy to get about 350 degrees in the oven, per the provided oven thermometer. That's all I did in this second burn since I wasn't going to expose any baking/cooking until any potential new paint took a final set in this second burn which concluded pretty much by 9 pm. By morning the ashes looked pretty much done. I could however, still feel a slight bit of heat from the door glass and metal surfaces. Outstanding. If I had added a 2nd log when I went to bed at 11, I think we would have had a nicely heated house until morning. Energy logs burn hot-hot so I would not overdo them. Use just one, maybe two at a time but I am sticking to one at a time.
KUMA has great products. Great people. Made in USA.

Kuma Stoves makes one of the best if not the BEST wood stove. They are locally owned and operated and we could not be happier with the product and the quality service that comes with owning a Kuma. Stay warm this winter with the peace of mind that comes with owning a Kuma.

Our home is 1400 sq ft. We purchased an Aspen Model. I have an unheated 3 season room and we reside in North Central Michigan. The back room has no heat to it. For years its been put up plastic and bubble wrap and lose the ability to see out the windows in the winter and it was always 15 degrees colder than the rest of the house.
This year I did no winterization the windows are open to be able to watch the wildlife. Added to the wood stove has kept the home between 75 and 80 with two windows slightly opened and the door to the house to keep the temperature where we like it.
The Kernal Burner in Saginaw Michigan was who showed us the model and stove. I usually go through a tank of propane a month even with winterization. This year since the Kuma I have used less than 4% propane per month so far. I could not be happier with the performance of this stove.

Stopped in a few weeks ago. We recently bought a house and had to fix a few things on the fireplace per our insurance. The staff was super helpful and thorough in explaining to me what I needed to do to get everything installed. 10/10 will use them going forward for anything my stove needs.

We had a Kuma Aspen installed in our manufactured home yesterday by Dan Burton, Countryside Stove Specialists, Terrebonne, Or. Not only are we excited to begin using the stove, we are particularly impressed with Dan and crew working through the steps to install the unit. Dan is an impressive gentleman, experienced, knowledgeable and thoughtful. I could not be more impressed and want to document my impression. We are also excited to have the Kuma stove in our home and motivated to share our experience. Kuma is family owned and operated, American made with American materials. I am happy to be a proud Kuma wood burning stove customer.. Look forward to a positive long termrelationship. Please covey my appreciation to all, including Dan Burton who made this possible for me..

I bought a kuma stove and this is my third season with it. We love this thing. I learned to clean the chimney pipe, it's best to take out the screws in the pipe from the stove and push up and attach a plastic bag to catch the creosote when cleaning the chimney. This keeps it from going down inside the stove and off of the insulation. Well I had a problem with the stove burning to fast because of something I did wrong after I put it back together. So I called kuma and spoke to Jack. What a wonderful person. He gave me the right advise how to make it right. Its nice to once again find someone like Jack who enjoys working and cares about their job. Great job Jack thank you very much. You're good at what you to

We purchased a Kuma Ashwood LE last winter at the suggestion of a dealer in Michigan. The stove is in a basement room that is about 1000sf for just that room. The house with the finished basement is 3000sf. I installed a fan that would circulate air throughout the house and this thing actually heats the whole house. Can't say enough good things about the stove. Very well built and seals up great. I didn't really want a catalytic stove, but now that I have one I am very happy with it. It will run 10-12 hours and still have coals to light it back up in the morning. Would suggest Kuma to anyone!
