I came here to get my brake pads and rotors replaced, and called to make in appointment in advance. Over the phone I told them I already had and inspection done at their shop with a quote, and knew exactly what I need done and what parts I need. But instead, they decided it would be better to wait for me to come in that morning and then realize they don't have the parts and have to order them when they could've ordered them in advance. I also told them over the phone that this would be under my company account. Day of my appointment and checking in, I reminded them again that it would be under my company account, but when they sent me my receipt it was under a new random account they made for me. So I had to call back and tell them for the 3rd time it was supposed to be under my company account. After this, within a few days my car started squeaking and making whooshing noises when I would brake. So I'm back here today having them take a look and fix the issue. All of the following in my review has happened both times I've come into this shop: No one greets you when you come in, I awkwardly stand there waiting for someone to acknowledge me for 5 minutes. A simple "Welcome in, we'll be with you shortly" is not that difficult. Customer service was decent, everyone is nice, but no one gives me any kind of update or how long it will take. Both times I've sat in the waiting room for 2 hours and have had to go up and ask for an update. The best service I ever got was when the mechanic came out to show me some things underneath my car and give me a visual of what was going on and offered to do some things for free. This was the first time I felt like anyone actually cared and wanted to give me value in what I'm paying for. After spending $780, I'm a little annoyed I've had to come back in to get it fixed and would expect a little better customer service considering the $$ I've spent for this service. Let's see if they fix the issue or if i'll be coming back in again...

It was a Saturday afternoon. We were traveling from West Yellowstone through Rexburg on our way home to Washington state when we became aware of a terrible sound from our rear brake. I was very shocked to discover that one of the brake calipers had lost a screw which caused the caliper to drag on the inside of the wheel and create a nasty scraping noise. We really needed to return to Washington by Sunday and did not want to be stuck in Rexburg over the weekend. Point S was wonderful to work us into their schedule. They could have charged me several hundred dollars for a new caliper, but instead ran to a parts store and found the correct screw. $73 and 1 hour later I was back on the road. That’s service, integrity and kindness all rolled into one. Thanks for all your help, Point S!!

Oh my goodness! DO NOT go here!!! If you want honest Machanics!!! I have gone to point s in rexburg for 16 years I know one of the owners sons from college and loved it until this past 4 months.I left a 1 start review a few weeks ago and deleted it because they said they weren’t going to charge me for the experience that I had. 1 month ago my exhaust manifold broke on my van. so I took it in and they told me that I need to have all my spark plugs replaced and my exhaust manifold. So we did both. During the process the Machanic noticed my heater wasn’t working and told me he knew what needed fixing so I agreed. A week later, after waiting for parts to fix my air conditioner/ heater I took the van back. They replaced the parts and said that they test drove it to make sure the AC/heater was working and the heater they said it was fixed that they had done everything to get it to replicate the issue and It has not stopped working. I went to pick it up paid $900. I left to drive home and the AC turn off and did not turn back on. I called they said to bring it back so I brought it back. They said that a tube need to be replaced and then it would cost me another $400, but that it would fix the issues. When I dropped it off I waited for the mechanic to come out so I could show him exactly what was wrong so he’d be able to tell if it was fixed or not, they called me later that night said that he had test driven it several times that it didn’t duplicate The problem. It is fixed.. I went back excited, and my van was still pulled apart. The mechanic told me he had not driven the van yet because he had not put it back together. They tried to charge me $400. During this process they said they couldn’t guarantee their work because I took my van to another shop a year prior. Then at the very end the guy that helped me said he actually worked at the other shop when they bypassed my AC unit to try and fix it… and back then what he had done at that shop was the correct way to fix the issue.Which another guy had just told me on the phone was the wrong way to fix it and that was why there were so many issues and that they couldn’t guarantee that anything that they did would fix it. I left to go wait for them to put my van back together. 2 hours later I was told that it didn’t work. And that I owed $420 I was angry and hung up. (This was when I left my first 1 star review)…I went to pick up the van wanting to pay and never go back or refer anyone there again. After I told them how upset I was calmly I told them to charge me what I owed so that I never had to deal with them again.Trevon then told me that they would not charge me become of the bad experience I had… I said that I appreciated that but that I didn’t want to owe them anything. He would not charge me. As I was leave a bit flustered Paula said what would make you happy. I paused because of her question … I honestly wished time could be rewound and that they would have just told the truth. I told her I would think about it and left.Several times throughout out my experience over the month I was flat out lied to! They said they test drove it… not once… they said it was fixed… not once….Well I drove it home. 2 days later I was driving home heard an explosion I stopped opened the hood looked around my van nothing… I turned it on and scratching pooping started… I had it towed back to them… 3 days later I got a call telling me that it was a spark plug…. Which I had just paid them to replace 2-3 weeks prior. And guess what they said… no we only changed out 2 at that time… well guess what we have the receipts and they charged us to replace all 8… proof that they are scammers and liars!!! This is ridiculous. My husband got there upset and told them that we know that they replaced them all and they changed their story right away and said it was bad threading on it that the prior Machanic must have missed. And decided not to charge us for the 3 days I haven’t had my van and the tow that I had to pay for…

I was recently on vacation in Idaho and was in Rexburg visiting family when I found myself in a situation where I needed new tires before I could continue my vacation. The closest place to where I was happened to be this "Clair & Dee's Point S Tires." I had barely heard of Point S because we only have 1 in the large city where I'm from. So I didn't know what to expect. I was anxious and nervous when I walked in. The first employee I saw was a woman named Paula. She was smiling and kind and did all she could to reassure me that she could help me and that it wouldn't break the bank. She knew what she was talking about and really went above and beyond. We got the tires replaced and were able to get back on the road. All thanks to Paula.

Sorry for the long review but details say everything. To start off I took my car in to get the transfer case replaced after a $98.5 diagnostic fee. While replacing it they broke the electrical connection to my alternator and told me they fixed it. Replacing the transfer case cost me $1'159.68. A few days later my battery dies. Since the battery at the time was extremely old I figured it just kicked the bucked and bought a new battery from O'Reilly's ($211.99). About another week goes by and my new battery is dead. New batteries don't just die so now I know there's a problem with my car. I grab a multimeter and check the parasitic draw on my car. I find out that the alternator is pulling 0.7 amps when the vehicle is off. I pull the fuse for the alternator and leave my car for about a week and it wasn't dead. Going back to Clair and Dees I was very specific with what I found and ask them to look at their repair work on the alternator. After a while they said everything looks fine and that nothing is pulling from the battery. They told me I must've left a light on or I charged my phone for too long causing the battery issue. After going back and forth they washed my car and engine and said it was ready for pickup. I get my car and immediately notice that it is now misfiring. I take the car back and they fix the misfiring issue. Afterwards I took their word for it that nothing was wrong and two days later my car is dead. The battery was at 2 volts when I checked before jumping the car. Taking the car to Oswald's and explaining my issue they found the parasitic draw from the alternator and explained to me that the repair was wired incorrectly and rewiring it would fix the issue ($230.81 to fix the issue). I get my car back, check parasitic draw and its at 0.1 amps which is perfect. The total amount out of my pocket is $1'700.98. As a college student this is immense on top of housing, tuition, and monthly expenses for groceries. I'm not made of money. If I had the tools and time I could've saved myself hundreds of dollars and days of my time with this issue. Clair and Dees customer service was always on top which is why they have the one star at least. Everything else was quite the roller coaster. I'm sure my car was the exception and it was a mistake on their end. Take this as you please but for other college students please look for other shops.

We are traveling from the Midwest up to the Grand Glaciers pulling our 30 ft trailer camper, planning to arrive home in a month. Before the last leg of the trip, we googled to find the closest tire store, and it happened to be Claire and Dee's Pointe S. We feel very blessed because they got us in within 50 minutes, they changed and rotated all 4 tires on our Ford F250, were very friendly and helpful. We feel much more confident on our journey north!

I was recently traveling to Utah from Montana in my low miles 2018 Jeep Rubicon and the check engine light came on. The Jeep would only run at low rpm’s and I could not get it to climb on the freeway.I’ve had a horrible time with this Jeep. This was the sixth time I’ve had this type of problem and each time the check engine light came on, I would find the nearest Jeep dealer for service help. Several times I had to leave the Jeep and wait weeks to get it back. Each time the service departments told me everything was fixed and ready to run. This was at several different dealers including Stone’s—all over a three year period. It is pretty sad when a Jeep dealer can’t fix a Jeep. This time I limped the Jeep into Rexburg with the same problem and Jayden at Point S helped me. He recognized I was not from Rexburg—and in a difficult situation. He immediately put my vehicle in the next available bay and went to work on it. I noticed the shop was extremely busy but Jayden went above and beyond to get my vehicle in and running properly. Point S mechanics spent a lot of hours working on the vehicle. I also appreciated the consideration to allow me to run the rig after the repairs were made so I could be confident the problems were taken care of. The costs were very fair and I was treated right.Point S in Rexburg exceeded my expectations. I was ready to give up on my beautiful lemon Rubicon, until Point S helped me. I got outstanding results and service. I’m a big fan of this repair shop.J K SchowKalispell, MT
