“I had Evan at Performance Rifles install a muzzle brake on my Tikka .308 to make it less punishing for my kids to shoot and MAN DID HE DELIVER! The recoil now feels like less than a .223! The brake is a little dirty in the pics but that's because I haven't yet cleaned it after my son used it to get his first elk this year. The fit and finish are perfect. Exceptional work from Performance Rifles and they had the work all done and the rifle ready for pickup in less than 24 hours! Other places quoted me 2-3 weeks for the same work. And their pricing was very reasonable.When I dropped off my rifle at their shop he showed me all the muzzle brakes I could choose from. They make their brakes in-house with a true machinist's precision. I was going for maximum recoil reduction so I chose a brake whose diameter is larger than my barrel. The result is that it doesn't look as sleek as it could but I care more about comfort than esthetics and I LOVE THE REDUCED RECOIL! My 12 yr old son can shoot it no problem now and, like I said, he used it to get his first elk this year!I will definitely be using Performance Rifles for all my future gunsmithing needs!”
