Salmon Rapids Lodge is a great looking mountain lodge style hotel sitting right on the Salmon River. The location, appearance, and clean, comfortable rooms are praised, many with a view of the river and a small deck. The staff is consistently described as kind, accommodating, friendly, helpful, courteous, and professional, providing great service that eases stress. Amenities include an indoor pool, a small convenience store, and outside seating to enjoy the beautiful views. A small continental breakfast with items like coffee, cereal, bagels, eggs, and muffins is sometimes offered, though it may be unavailable off-season. The property allows guests to leave vehicles for multi-day trips. Nearby activities include fishing, rafting, hiking, jet boat racing, and relaxing. There are grocery stores, a couple of restaurants, and a bar nearby. The area gets very busy during salmon fishing season, so planning ahead is advised. Some notes for improvement mention that the pool can be chemically hot, walls need dusting, and the mattresses in some rooms are not good and can cause back aches. after a rafting trip our group had to make an emergency stop in riggins. the people at salmon rapids lodge were so kind and accommodating. the service was great, the rooms were clean. they definitely helped ease some of the stress we were feeling. thank you to all the staff!
