Went in tonight. Saturday September 7th. Around 740/750 pm. Was told by a young boy at the door they were closed. I get it.. but why does it say you don’t close till 9:30? Just confused.

Yesterday I purchased a bottle of gin that was falsely advertised for $13 assuming that this was an honest and legitimate establishment. I don’t normally take a receipt home since I purchase with debit, but I am glad I had done so at that time. I noticed later that night when checking my bank account that I was charged $37 for the one bottle of gin I had purchased. Since I hadn’t opened the bottle yet, I went there today in order to either exchange or refund it, only to be met with hostility by the clerk and owner of the establishment. I had pointed out to the clerk that the price underneath the gin was $12.95, she moved the label to the left and said it was for the brandy next to it. There wasn’t a label for this gin because it’s new and they hadn’t printed one out yet. I told her I would like to exchange it for another, but there are no refunds, I told them that this is false advertisement.
After politely asserting myself she raised her tone with me, telling me not to speak to her like that, as though she were royalty and not a gas station clerk and I wasn't a customer. The manager told me the same thing, but that it was Idaho State liquor law that forbade them from doing returns, so I told him to give me a partial monetary refund for charging me a price nearly triple what I was advertised, and he refused. I dug through several files of legalese word salad in Title 23 of our Mormon Socialist liquor laws and it stated that refunds can be made under the approval of the director or an authorized agent, so the owner of the business had lied to me after trying to scam me. This is an indictment not just on their incompetence and shady business practices, but an overly bureaucratic state that incorrectly feels it necessary to micromanage something as simple and ordinary as a return or refund of an unused product.

Great, clean, and well ran service station. Got a nail in your tire, need new tires, breaks wore out? Have had all these services done here. The owners and staff have always been friendly to me.

Top notch gas station that may very well anything a person would need without making a trip to a bigger store to get something forgotten. THhanks Chevron of Ririe. Tire repair also.
