These guys are awesome! Had a problem with my 4wd. Thought it would be expensive. Very pleasantly surprised! They were booked but Curtis squeezed me in. Highly reccomend!

Our car started puttering as we passed through Sandpoint on the tail end of a cross-country road trip... at 4pm on a Friday two states from home! We were sure we'd be stuck scrambling for lodging, with 3 kids in tow, in a booked-up town until Monday, but these guys stepped up big time. They diagnosed the problem (bad throttle body), got the replacement part, and had us back on the road an hour later. Seriously saved the day (and the weekend, and hundreds of dollars in lodging fees). We're so grateful!!!

My car stopped on me.... Although they couldn't get me in right away... When my appt time came they figured it out and fixed it. My mind of course went to the worst scernio but they found it to be simple and my bill was much less than what I thought it would be. I will always call them first. Thanks guys.

Curtis is a gem of a mechanic. He's straight with you about what is really necessary and what isn't ("I wouldn't worry about that unless it actually goes out") but also works well with outside parts ("this'll be cheaper if you buy it through eBay and I just install it for you, here's the listing number you'll need"). The guy is honest and reliable, and if he says it'll be ready on a certain day, it is. My in-laws also take their cars here, and once they had their car break down after he had done a repairs - it was a faulty part apparently - and he came and picked my MIL up from where her car broke down, towed the car, and gave her his personal vehicle as a loaner while he fixed the issue. He is definitely good people.Having an honest and reliable mechanic on this side of the Long Bridge is a godsend. We're very thankful for Curtis and his crew, he gets our business every time.

They were very thorough in their explanation to me of the problem. They told me how they would fix it and remedy the core issue that caused the problem. They came in roughly 20% below what they quoted me, and that included a few other services on top of the reason the vehicle was there. The only issue I had was communication could be a little better. This seems to be an industry-wide issue. It's no fun taking your car into someone and not knowing when you'll hear back from them. I don't know how that gets remedied, but some sort of periodic update would be nice. But because that is how auto repair/paint shops work, I'm not going to hold it against them.

Curtis at Grimm Brothers always has a trusting place in my heart. He's almost like a father figure to me and the fact that he doesn't try to get more money out of me by saying there are extra problems with my vehicle. He actually goes above and beyond to get me out of there quickly and at a decent shop price. He also is very knowledgeable with all of my issues that I've had with the different vehicles I've driven, but if he feels that an issue that I have with a vehicle will be better helped with someone else in town. He will recommend it like my transmission but every other problem I've had he has been able to fix and I've had no issues with it afterwards.

The owner of Grimm Brothers is a really great guy who is very professional and honest. His mechanics who he has many of our professional as well and highly experienced in Auto and Truck Repair. His prices are fair and they get the job done properly the first time. I'm very happy with the estimates that I've been given and would trust them for any work on any of my vehicles and would take my vehicle there before I took it anywhere else.
