We’ve had our PO Box for a year now + have loved the customer service we’ve received. Never have any issues and the staff has always been super kind to us!

Horrible!! We have been living in a new community development for over a year and still do not have any mail service even though there is an existing community development getting mail right next to us. When we ask when will we be getting mailboxes, the management gives us the run around making us run through all these steps and still nothing gets done....and then says to pay for a po box in town :o

The staff at this location are completely unprofessional and incompetent. The amount of mislabeled mail I get us incredible. The "customer service" is nonexistent. No wonder folks want to defund the USPS.The Postmaster should be ashamed and step down from her position.

[Update] Post Office lost yet another parcel. We frequently get the wrong person's mail in our box. We have had mail that the tracking number said was delivered to the post office, but we never got it. They have returned mail to sender that arrived that day, before we got home from work to check it. Many locals complain frequently of similar issues. The staff making these daily mistakes just blame it on the sender instead of trying to do better.Other recent reviews suggest staffing changes may have resolved these issues, but as of today, they in fact have not.

So there have been a lot of changes at this post office over the last couple of years.New staff is hit or miss with their professionalism.Hours are really unacceptable…. If some works a normal 9-5 job, they only have 1 hour on Saturday to pick up packages. Even with the package lock boxes in the post office box area, most packages are held behind the counter. Still don’t understand how the whole post office shuts down for lunch(ever heard of staggering lunch hours of employees to be more convenient for the customers)New management has also taken out the shred bins. The first excuse they used is that the company truck broke down…. that obviously was just an excuse to get people use to not having it around anymore. So since new management has come in, the local residents are getting a revolving door of new post office employees, who vary in their professionalism….less service (no shred bins for the junk mail we never asked to be put in boxes anyway) and the same inconvenient hours.

This is the first time I have had to use a PO BOX. The staff answered my questions, after having a package returned that did not have my PO BOX number on it. I did not know how it worked. For those of you with issues, you can put your PO BOX on the same line as your street address, and it'll get delivered. It can say "1234 North St PO BOX 1234" and it'll get delivered.

New staff at this post office. I have had a po box for 24 years, never had such problems. UPS delivered a package there, they did not notify me. I am unable to get to post office during the week. Went on a Saturday, no notice of package. Called the next business day and asked if it could be put in one of their large boxed with a key placed in my box. They have these available for this reason. The lady was very rude, said she would make a 1 time exception but made it clear this was a problem. I have never requested anything like this in 24 years. It is a huge problem at this post office with packages these days. I miss the old crew who would work with their customers.

Worst publicly operated mail service in existence, I'm filing a complaint with the regional post master general. When someone orders a package it doesn't always give the opportunity to put a po box on the shipping and this post office does not care they will return anything and everything from electronics to life saving medicine. You ought to be ashamed of how you operate, refuse to put in an actual delivery route or mailboxes and will return stuff that people have been waiting months for thanks for costing me more money than just my tax dollars. Worthless.

Staff is unprofessional, and willing to make a scene, and ignore lines of customers, in some attempt at belittling, while literally yelling, at the customer,.... for staffs own inadequacy or inability to perform the basic functions of the job they are paid to perform. Without question, the most unprofessional and ignorant postal environment I've seen in the USA... and the female employee, even makes claims to be prior law enforcement, ( while screaming at customers )...not hard to see why she isn't still in LE today....

My expectations were already low given it's location and the nature of the town. The clerk of course no mask although it is required. Not only was she ignorant as to the requirements of her job, she was also rude. North Idaho never fails to disappoint.

Terribly hard to work with these people. They are costing everyone more money because they are so stubborn! They refuse to put a pick up slip for my package in the box, even though the po box is associated with that address! I was staying with a friend and really needed the package! Unbelievable!!!!!

The Postmaster (Collette) and the clerk (Sally) are excellent.I’ve had five separate negative interactions with one clerk, however, so I now only go there when ABSOLUTELY necessary. I drive out of my way to go elsewhere because of this clerk.1. Handed a piece of mail to her instead of dropping it into the slot. Was advised to use the mail slot the next time. OK.2. Had a special, pretty stamp on a condolence card. Requested she hand cancel it. She told me she was not allowed to do that. I thought that was incorrect (it was) and requested my card back. I called around to a couple of other post offices, they told me to bring it in and they would hand cancel it for me. I did.3. I had some packages to mail, was running late. The post office closed at 5. I arrived and was inside the lobby at 4:55 pm. This clerk appeared unhappy, advised me they closed at 5:00 pm. I took my packages back out to the car. I then thought about it, walked back in without my packages (unhappy) and said if they closed at 4:55 pm they should put a sign on the door stating so. I mailed my packages elsewhere a different day. [I think the Postmaster overheard as there was a letter of apology from this clerk in my PO box and when she saw me she came out and gave me a hug. I thought we were good. We weren’t. See # 4].4. There was nobody in the post office when I went to the window except his clerk and I. Instead of greeting me and asking if she could help me, she told me she was helping someone else, that they’d gone out to their vehicle, and if they came back in she would need to help them.I didn’t have ANY problem with that - although they never came back in while I was there. But I DID have a problem with her approach towards me. THINKING we were in a good place (see #3), I THOUGHT I could tell her how that made me feel as a customer. She had a MELTDOWN. She said that me and “one other customer” were the only ones who have a problem with her. [A few weeks later I called Collette to discuss and was told “I’m sorry you feel that way.” Never felt let down by Collette other than this one time].5. Since I spoke with Collette and she took the rude clerk’s side, I’ve avoided this post office as much as possible and particularly avoid this clerk but do have to go to my box occasionally. I went in one time, saw the clerk casing mail, and avoided her. I said nothing and gave her a wide berth. As I was walking towards the door she wished me a “Merry Christmas.”1. I’m an Atheist2. I wanted no interaction with her, which is why I didn’t speak to her in the first place. When I was almost out the door and hadn’t responded to her “greeting,” she said “That’s mighty Christian of you, _______.”At that point I stopped, looked at her, advised her I was an Atheist (REALLY NONE OF HER BUSINESS) - and heard what can only be described as an audible holier-than-thou smirk as I left. This clerk irritates the HELL out of me. I used to buy stamps and support the USPS. I’ve since moved most of my critical accounts online and now have my mail delivered to my street address. I used to pick up packages at the post office so my letter carrier didn’t have to be inconvenienced. I now send them to the house but I do feel bad for her.I’ve held Customer Service positions in the past and received awards for providing excellent service. This clerk still has lessons to learn.
