Friendly service
Too expensive, was quoted over 3 times the amount for a gasket than another 5 star shop in Meridian. SHOP AROUND for prices first

Dan and his team are awesome. Very reasonable and they do great work. They are always busy, but still manage to help you out in a timely manner. I strongly recommend if you are looking for dependable auto service outside of dealerships.

Just left Star Tire and Auto and I’ve never been more pleased with my service at an auto repair shop!
Not only were the men working refreshingly kind but they fixed my tire extremely quickly! Not only that but it was an very reasonable price!

We were ready to leave on an extended trip with travel trailer hooked up and ready to go. The morning of departure my truck wouldn't start. Dan sent Josh over and within an hour had me up and running and on our way. OUTSTANDING customer service! I can't say enough about Dan and his shop. We take all our cars to Star Tire and Auto when repairs are needed. Thanks Dan!

Update: I do appreciate the owner, Dan, reaching out to me so quickly and responding to my review. I also appreciate that they made three attempts at repairing the tire and did not charge me more. I will say that in all my years of owning cars, I'm not aware of any prior flat taking three attempts to repair, but there's always a first time. I would have appreciated better communication about the process instead of having to go back 2.5 hours after it was supposed to be finished to check on the car. However, given the response of Dan, I am upgrading to three stars for my review.
Previous: I really wanted to like this place. I think it has been in Star a long time and is generally well reviewed. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing.
Found a nail in my wife's driver side rear tire this morning around 9, a slow leak at 26 psi for a 32 psi tire. Called around and found a few places that could do the repair today. Two were in Star, and one of them wouldn't be able to repair the tire until 3 or 4 pm. The guy at Star Tire said I could bring the car over right away and they could take care of me.
We dropped the car before 10 am. The gentleman said the car should be ready around 11:30 am. That was fine with us, as we had the other car. We were told that we would be called when the car was ready.
We had not received a call by 2 pm and we were out doing an errand so we dropped by. The same gentleman told me that they had tried two prior repairs of the tire, but leaking persisted. They were on their third try. I've never had a flat take three attempts to repair. We were told the car would be ready shortly. We decided to wait in the car.
The repair was completed within about 10 minutes, we paid, and were preparing to leave. Dan, who I believe is the owner, told us to check and make sure that the key was in the car. It wasn't. Went back in and had to wait another 5 minutes because they didn't know where the key was. It was eventually found and we were on our way. 3 hours after we were told the car would be ready.
I appreciate that they were able to take care of my car today. Everyone is nice here, and they seem to do a good business. As I said, they are well reviewed. We just moved to Star in June and I am looking for an auto shop to take care of the maintenance and repair of both our vehicles. Unfortunately, after this experience with ST&A, I'll be looking elsewhere.

They looked at my car in a timely manner and were honest. I can’t recommend them enough, if you want an honest shop who doesn’t waste your time or money they are it! Best mechanic shop in the treasure valley!
