This dealership has unfortunately fallen victim to a hacker. The hacker has an accent unlike your typical American accent from Idaho. He will try and get you to send your personal information. Do not become his next victim. It’s very unfortunate that a family business has fallen prey to this deceitful fraud. We started speaking to him a week ago via text and telephone. I was wary immediately. The man never actually answered the business line when we would call. He would text back saying he’s busy or call hours later. He’d text saying send your drivers license and ask for your address and other personal info to start paperwork. The listed price on the vehicle was extremely low vs the market. He had the vehicle listed on Craigslist in San Francisco but then said it was in Idaho. We told him we’d need to fly to Idaho to test drive the vehicle and we’re not purchasing sight unseen. Then he went completely dark. Hasn’t called us back nor answered our text messages. This was completely suspicious to me, so we called the Idaho DMV and the fraudulent title that he provided was never even in their system. The title number pulls up no records and the vin pulls up no records as well. Unfortunately just as I suspected. Completely fraudulent.Don’t fall prey to this scam. He talks good game but you’ll find holes in his stories of how he acquired the vehicle, why there isn’t a current registration, etc.My next call is to the BBB.
