I would rate this place zero stars . My mom and sister went for her dog because she was scared something was wrong with him the vet Dean Lavallee was overly rude very disrespectful my sister asked about payment plans or paying half right then and come back to pay the rest because she didn't have all the money on her after she asked him he said "well this is annoying " kept repeating that to her and she said what is he said " I told you the cost before and you agreed to it " she told him she understands but she just didn't have it all with her and what was she supposed to do just leave her dog to potentially die on the floor and the vet had the never to say " yes you should have if you couldn't afford it yes you should have " he has no compassion or care for animals only money then when my mom snapped he laughed at her and gave a half ass apology he said more very rude stuff and my mom could hear the nurse talking shit about my sisters dog even before all of this . They paid him the full amount that night but let me just say this there never going back and as I said there was even more rude stuff the vet said and his tone was disrespectful wouldn't suggest bringing your animals here they don't care and who knows if they even do what they say I think they just like taking peoples money

If it were possible to give ZERO stars, I would! We were experiencing an issue with a still birth and called for advice. The receptionist answered and rather than getting a vet right away to speak to, she continued to ask how the mother was rather than dealing with the life and death situation. We repeatedly asked to speak to anyone who knew something to help us. After 14 minutes!!! she said that she went to the back and everyone was "rather busy"!If you want to reach help for your loved pets DO NOT CALL HERE!BTW, the puppy died!

Don't take your pet here. Unprofessional, expensive, and they don't do anything more then they have to. Sent my dog home with nothing to help him and no after care instructions. Took him to my vet and found out there was things we could do that saved him. If it was up to healing hands, they would have just let him die. Not worth it. Also a few months ago or dog got hurt and the person who answered the phones told us that if we bring our dog in they would just put him to sleep! That was not true, he was fine. There are vets that do after hours emergency you just need to look. I dont want to post my vet office because I don't want them involved with this review. If I could do zero stars I would.

Called and told them what was wrong with my puppy said they’d help and to call when i got there drove 45 minutes to them and when we got there they refused help and started just talking about the price and did not have any sympathy and did not care the lady the on the phone was very rude and did not care to help or suggest what we should do and my puppy died in my arms that night. A now i lost my puppy the thing that serviced me threw my days and nights so i hope this place is happy for not helping the crying girl on the phone trying to help her dying and now deceased puppy. I suggest going to a different emergency vet if your puppy is ill they are not compassionate and do not care for the well beings of dogs or their owners.

they were willing to help but the unsympathetic doctor was not okay with me or my boyfriend. all he cared about was money because it was a late emergent visit and when I dropped into my hands crying, all he kept talking about was money. I was absolutely heartbroken by the news and there was no comforting at all. we felt judged and not respected at all. will never be going to this vet again.

GREAT care! My 12-year-old Chihuahua had been “off” all week while we were traveling through Idaho. Just when I’d decide to take him to ER vet, he’d perk up. I knew yesterday that something was seriously wrong. Everyone at this clinic was absolutely professional and friendly. Dr. Lavallee was just what I needed - calm and no-nonsense, and he was clear about what tests were needed and the cost of each. Emergency surgery was indicated and I was given an estimate of a minimum-to-maximum of the potential cost. The final was less than the maximum estimate which surprised me. Facility is very clean. I would not hesitate to seek emergency care here.

Very pleased with Healing Hands. I have taken my dog and cat there from Mountain Home and paid less and waited less than what was available in Boise since we have no after hours vet in Mountain Home. Both needed surgery and have healed up great. Worth the drive, but call ahead first.

Unfortunately my little Shih Tzu got chewed up by a big dog. I brought her to Healing Hands and Dr L stitched her up and saved her life. They had to remove an eye, but she is still pretty cute. Very grateful they could save my dog and the prices are reasonable for an emergency clinic and I appreciate their care.

Our 1.5 year old kitty had suddenly became completely lethargic and refused to eat or drink for a few days. Our regular veterinary clinic couldn’t get us in til Friday and he haven’t eaten or drank since Monday and continued to grow more miserable each day. We called and the receptionist was very kind and gave us honest advice to bring him in and was clear on pricing as well. We were even told that they would check him for a urinary obstruction in triage at no cost to see if he could wait until Friday to see his vet. When we brought him in she was very quick to take him to the back and check for a urinary blockage and checked his temp and gum color as well. He had no signs of blockage but did have a fever and signs of constipation so we decided to wait the hour and 45 minutes - 2 hours to have him seen there. They got us back timely and we’re very kind to us during the wait. The whole time Dr. Hope W was very clear about pricing and our options for testing and she was great about answering our many questions and concerns. They ended up doing blood work and quickly finding out what was wrong with our kitty and were very informative about his Illness and things to watch out for. We were sent home with antibiotics and nausea medication. He ended up not being able to stomach the medication and threw it up. We were able to call and get information from the dr as to what to do next. The next day he was still vomiting and hadn’t ate so we called back to see what to do, she recommended we come back in and gave us options to proceed with. They were so great about keeping in contact with us for the couple of days we were trying to get him stable. We were able to go back in and get him a injection for nausea and an X-ray to make sure nothing else was wrong. He was sent home with pain meds and the injection has seemed to work well for him so far. Thank you healing hands for being so kind and patient with us. We appreciate all you do for our babies ?

I take my dog here she was behaving weird, they said they have ti take few of test which they all cost a lot, of course I said okay and they also said they will take a x ray and I said okay. He came back and said my dog need to do surgery on her shoulder, which she never had any problem with her shoulder. I spend a thousand that night and I was worried about my dog. Next day I went to my dogs vet and he said she is totally fine and she is healthy and nothing is wrong on her shoulder. I call this place many time and tell them to send the x ray to my dogs vet and they never did. Very horrible place, plz don’t spend any money they know we care about our pets and they want to make banks.

I wish Dr. Webster and the staff Healing Hands had a daytime practice. The emergency care they gave our girl last night was MOST EXCELLENT. The facility was clean and well maintained, too. 5 out of 5 stars.

I had the worst experience here today. My chihuahua jumped out of our car and began twitching, uncontrollably slobbering, and was very dazed. We called Helping Hands (as they were the only place open who could help) and asked if we could bring in our dog. They said yes asking for her name and other details which was great. As soon as we got there the staff was not very welcoming (except for the receptionist and she was very kind) and did not seem to care about my dog’s wellbeing. As we were describing the situation to the first vet, she seemed to not care at all. We could tell that she was not interested in taking care of our dog. After she took my dog out of the room to visit with the doctor, the doctor came into the room without our dog and told us we were looking at getting X-rays and an ultrasound for my dog. He did not tell us how my dog was doing until we asked and he explained that she was doing well other than some pain in her hind legs and a broken canine. After asking more questions which he did not seem to want to answer, we asked about the price of the X-rays and ultrasound. He let us know the prices and seemed to dodge every question after that. He did not care about my dog whatsoever and it seemed like we were just a paycheck. We asked to see my dog after this to determine if she was able to walk (because he hadn’t examined her to see if she could walk) and to see if X-rays and an ultrasound would be necessary. After taking another look at her, she seemed to be on the mend and we asked that the doctor come back after a few minutes so we could make a decision on the X-rays and ultrasound. We ultimately decided not to do the X-rays or ultrasound and left the room to check out with the receptionist. Upon arriving at the front desk, the first vet we had met with came and asked if we decided to take her home. We said yes but the vet said the doctor had already charged us for prescription drugs for our dog (which we had never discussed). After explaining that we did not need them since we had pain killers for our dog from a previous incident, she tried convincing that we did need them and had to ask the doctor to remove the charges. He agreed and we checked out and paid $95 for the exam. TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY.

This place took us in at night when no one else would. The staff was very nice and compassionate. Got our dog bandaged up after her accident and sent us home with meds and care instructions. Couldn't ask for better at midnight. Prices were very reasonable. We will 100% come back if we ever need.

We were traveling from Colorado to Washington State to a dog show on a Sunday! One of our show dogs (Alaskan Klee Kai) was having abdominal pain. Dr. Lavalle was very thorough in his exam and quick with a diagnosis. The staff was Super friendly. The facility was VERY clean. We were back on the road with a happy dog. We highly recommend to anyone needing care.
