At what point does someone step in and do something about the very ignorant/ghetto/hostile bald goofy dude at this location who laughed/mocked me while He said he is the manager?? I was having a great morning and was heading to a work meeting and it ended with me having an anxiety attack and crying. My lawyer has suggest I sue for emotional distress and which I’m thinking about moving forward with…. I came in and ask this old hoodlum to close out my prior contract and open a new one and he called the cops and said I was trying to steal the car. Wasting law enforcements time when someone that actually needs help could be dying, wasting our tax dollars and putting my life in danger. Imagined if the cops showed up looking for someone that stoled a car and here I am sitting inside Avis trying to phone them because this idiot wasn’t any help!!! HE WOULDNT accept my reservation without my work ID which I didn’t have on me because while traveling, you forget some things and I’ve never been ask this after the first time in 2017.. when I said just make me a reservation without the work ID, he wouldn’t let me use my points. I rented from Avis almost everyday since 2017 and have never met someone that was so hostile. You can tell when you walk in how depressing he is! The whole heap of negative reviews saying the same damn thing!! IS NOT A LIE and seem like those automated system responses is for show… He will meet the right one, one day that’ll either hurt him physically or financially (:

Not helpful at all. Didn’t even try to service me. If you are black he wouldn’t even come to the desk. No respect. He’ll talk to you from the office. They can keep their vans. I’ll go elsewhere for my business needs. He makes all budget rentals look bad. Probably didn’t expect me to leave a review.

If you want to see one of the rudest representatives, go to this particular location. Not sure why Avis continues to retain this person in a position of authority despite the abundance of negative reviews. Although Avis appears to express remorse and files social media cases in response to such reviews, one wonders if they are taking any tangible actions to ensure customer satisfactionI went to this location by mistake and was too much shocked with his behavior from the first sentence. No greetings, no apology for his roughest behavior and attitudes. As a frequent traveler, I have interacted with numerous rental representatives, but this experience was entirely different and truly dreadful.

I booked a reservation for pickup for 5pm well in advance. I took an Uber all the way down here to pickup the reservation and the building was closed. I understand businesses close at a specific time, which is why I did my best to arrive early, but to my disappointment the building was also closed early. I called customer service to help me make alternative arrangements and they told me the building closes 30 minutes early and they couldn't give me the same rate anywhere else. Nobody bothered to contact me to let me know that my reservation would be impossible to pick up or required me to pick up at a much earlier time. I would have gladly made alternative arrangements if someone just called me to confirm or helped me make alternative arrangementswell before they decided to close early.

I had a reservation for 3/25/23, I called the morning of to see if I can pick up the car before 3pm. I was told that the car would be there around 1:30, it was coming from O'Hare. I called back at 1:30 and was told no cars are available and that Avis did not send any cars. I should look for other accommodations. I specifically chose this location because they are open on Saturdays.Since I booked through Priceline, Avis was not willing to assist me. I contacted Priceline and I was told that I can pick up a car at O'Hare, which would mean cancelling my currently reservation and starting a new one with an increase in price of over $200.At this point I was so upset, I ended up driving my own truck.This location is horrible after reading the negative reviews. To those who had a positive experience, good for you! Never again will I reserve with this location or Avis. I would much rather book with Enterprise and pick up my vehicle one day early.Basically, book at your own risk at this location.

I booked and payed online. My experience was surprisingly flawless and hassle-free. (unlike others !).The man I spoke to was kind, the car I was given was better than I expected. Pickup and the return process was fast and easy.The only thing - the car could have been cleaned better inside.

DO NOT RENT A CAR FROM THIS LOCATION! We had a horrible experience! The man working here did not honor my American Bar Association discount. He did not honor anything about our reservation. We booked an SUV online and when we got our final bill it was TWICE the original price for absolutely no reason, at all. He was unwilling to listen to any reason. He charged us $30 a day for an insurance we did not want and declined with the original booking. He was rude and combative. We need car rental often and this location is very close to our house, but trust me we are never coming back. We’d rather go literally anywhere else. Feeling cheated and scammed.Believe all the other reviews and steer clear!

This is the WORST AVIS location in the area. The main worker (who I assume is the owner?) is rude and has no customer service skills.I had a corporate rental and he asked me for my work ID before giving me the car. No problem. I showed him my ID and he said it doesn’t match the reservation. Turns out it was because my company name changed. He refused to tell me anything about what name he was looking for. I had to call the Avis 800 number and they said it’s all good. I had to put the Avis rep in the phone with the owner and he proceeded to argue with him about his computer didn’t have my new company name so he wasn’t going to honor the reservation. He forced the person to cancel my reservation and create new one with my new company name and then he said, now I can help you. I wasted 30 minutes and after all of that - no apology, no notion of empathy for the hassle he caused, and definitely no customer service.I’ve rented one other time from this location and had to wait an hour for a car to be available. Similarly, same guy and no apology.Final straw. I reserved a car for Sunday morning. On Saturday afternoon the same person left me a voicemail saying no car will be available tomorrow and I need to make other arrangements. Again, no apology. No guidance on what I can do. Just a feeling like I’ve been told ‘sucks for you, deal with it.”Shame on me for trying a 3rd time. Never again. Stay away from this Avis location!

The owner was completely rude. He is telling me he needs a pay stub before giving me the car. Made no sense as I have used Avis in multiple locations around the country and never had this issue. He was super rude and would not give me a car. I now have to make other accommodations and he felt no sympathy. I told him I have never had this issue in the past and he tells me all other Avis are doing their job wrong. First time having this happen. Would not reccomend this location. Save your time and energy as this owner is not willing to help in any way.

This location is a joke. The worker is a bully and the definition of a power trip. Dude has zero customer service skills and honestly makes me want to never return to Avis again. Not to mention the car I got rented was not the one I requested and was not cleaned at all. Clean up your act and please either reprimand him or fire this worker.

NEVER RENT HERE!!!!………Rented a car here because I love Avis I have always had a great experience but this locate is by far the WORSE rental location ever! I rented a car and it was very disgusting like it have never been cleaned and it had a terrible smell not only that I also felt unsafe because all the maintenance lights in the car were on.

I had such a lovely experience at this location. Joseph was consistently helpful despite all the annoying questions I had. I will rent from this location again! Thanks Avis
