As a first-time home buyer, I didn't really know much about the process, but I knew what I was looking for in my "forever home." I became connected with Eddie at the suggestion of my father when I wanted to view a home I'd admired for years that happened to go on the market four hours in advance of contacting him. Eddie set up the showing for the next afternoon, even though the home already had two offers within the first three hours of its online posting. He communicated with the other realtor in such a sensitive and upfront manner that they allowed me to see the home despite accepting one of the initial offers -- and what a wonderful first walk through experience it was!Following that ice-breaker, which took place during the first of June during COVID-19 and all of us wearing face masks, Eddie worked with me on setting up walk-throughs on around 10 homes. Eddie was usually able to get a showing the next day on a home if desired for my schedule, and he was very flexible with his own schedule. He is almost instantly responsive to questions texted, emailed, or called-in to him (within 10 minutes in all cases), and he never hesitated to respond to my questions or be honest with me that he would have to get back to me when he made essential contacts. Eddie was able to explain every part of the home buying process to this novice home-buyer in terms that I could understand, and he always re-explained if I felt lost or confused. There were times I became stressed and anxious, but he was there for me and also affirmed my emotions and thoughts. I learned a lot in working with his support, and he was helpful throughout my home-buying experience. Eddie would even respond to messages or calls at early morning, late evening or weekend times, and he is one of the friendliest and most open people I now know and am proud to have a connection with.After walking through several homes, I ended up closing on a home in a dream neighborhood/area that is a gem! It was a unique purchasing experience with the sellers moving to an east coast island and needing special accommodations with their moving timeline. Eddie helped me navigate this time-sensitive territory with limited stress. He also connected me with a mortgage lender when I couldn't even get in touch with my current bank to secure a pre-approval for a loan. The lender he recommended was helpful, easy-going, encouraging, and transparent the entire time, and he too responded to my questions in a fairly timely manner (but nothing beats Eddie's responsiveness!!!). Eddie also recommended a thorough inspector for my home purchase (Pete Buss, who my father ended up using for a commercial purchase), and I was happy with my mortgage experience despite the obvious stress of that kind of loan process.Eddie is kind, positive, always looks on the bright side, and calming in every stage of the home-buying process. He s very honest in redirecting his clients and perhaps shedding light on something I didn't pickup on/notice in the walkthroughs. He is sensitive to his clients; he never made me feel ignorant, uninformed, stupid, etc. throughout the time I was experiencing this very new purchasing process, and I am grateful to feel valued as a person and one of his clients. My partner and now housemate, parents, and I always felt like good decisions were being made after walk-throughs with Eddie, and he was conscientious in checking in with everyone and wishing well during this time.I would recommend Eddie of the Lucid Realty to anyone purchasing a home, especially your first home. He has a lot of experience as a home-buyer himself, so he REALLY knows what he's talking about, what to look for, and how the entire process goes. He has excellent professional connections, too. I'll definitely be asking him questions in the future as I have them, as he is open to keeping in touch with his clients and helping us in the future; as such, I'd seek him again in the future if buying/selling a home (even though I think he guided me to locating my forev

Eddie did a fantastic job selling our home. His assessment of our home and the market was spot on and very informative for us. He was outstanding in how he handled the pictures and marketing of our home, and as a result we had more showings and sold our home faster than we ever expected. Eddie was extremely professional and very responsive to us. He listened to our questions and any suggestions we had and as a result alleviated much of the stress of selling our home, especially during a pandemic. He was extremely diligent following Covid protocols and making sure we felt safe throughout the process. First off, we opted to go with Eddie at Lucid Realty after meeting with another broker that clearly did not understand the local market dynamics where our home was located.Eddie came to our initial meeting well prepared with market data, a plan on how to price/position our home and a spectrum of avenues to list it. I was very impressed by his professional, no-nonsense (but not pushy) approach. My home was listed within a week (on a Friday), and we had 20+ showings that same weekend! I wasn't expecting such interest and it required us to jump on finding a new home right away.He listened to the needs and wants that my wife and I had and suggested only homes that fit our criteria and was able to schedule viewings of our own in 24 hours. We found one we loved and relied on his guidance on how to bid and win, but not overpay.Ultimately, we sold our home for a reasonable price and purchased our forever home at a fair price.. All throughout Eddie was super responsive (within 10 minutes in all cases) to all of our questions, even on nights and weekends! We had some normal minor hiccups along the way (lender delays, village bureaucracy etc.) that he helped us navigate through and we still were able to be fully moved/closed in 35 days.In addition to himself, Eddie brings with him a quality supporting cast if you need (lawyers, lenders, inspectors, contractors etc.) We did rely on a few of his recommended guys and were also impressed with them.I would recommend Eddie and the Lucid Realty team to anyone preparing for such an important life decision. He's top notch and a true professional.

We found Eddie at Lucid Realty by searching online, and we felt great about working with him from the first conversation. Eddie was responsive, organized, and aware of our concerns.If you are a first time home buyer or new to Illinois, there is a lot to learn in this process. We felt confident in Eddie's knowledge and professionalism and we were not disappointed. Throughout the entire transaction, Eddie kept track of the timeline and helped us to identify qualified professionals. He also coached us through the process to make sure we understood what was going on as it applied to our situation.If you are a homebuyer who wants to be shown a number of houses to prepare to make a big decision, then Eddie is a good and trustworthy choice. And if you are, like us, a bargain hunter who wants to get yourself organized, to attend open houses, and to come to your realtor having already made a decision about the house that you want to buy, then Eddie is a singularly outstanding option. We signed an hourly rate contract that resulted in a sizable rebate at the end of the transaction.Eddie was also personable and kind to our three-year-old, which makes a big difference during a stressful move. I should also mention that our house hunt and move coincided with the outbreak of COVID 19. We were grateful that Eddie took our health and safety seriously throughout the process.

We engaged Eddie and Lucid to sell our elderly mother's long-time residence. Based on Eddie's recommendation, we elected for the option of hourly work, with a commission rebate. Although we had one transaction fall through with the buyers backing out, we still saved roughly 30% with the commission rebate.Eddie was extremely patient in explaining the whole process to my family, many of whom have never participated in a real estate transaction before (my mother had owned the house for 40 years). Eddie gave us common sense advice on how to proceed with the sale, from what we should/shouldn't repair, how we should price the house, and when we should consider a pricing change. Every decision was ultimately up to us, but he was candid in giving his expert opinion.Eddie was also extremely timely with giving us information about listing activity and showings, and responding to our questions. Because of the original buyers backing out and a final buyer who was, let's say . . . difficult . . . there were a lot of questions and a lot of communications, and Eddie was always on top of it.This is our third time working with Lucid, and our second time working with Eddie. We have also referred three friends to Lucid and all of them raved about their experience. Highly, highly recommended.

We met Eddie in June of 2020 when we were thinking about leaving Chicago and moving to the suburbs. Eddie is professional, timely, and genuinely cares about his clients. His ability to read a situation and represent our best interests was extremely comforting during a very uncertain time in real estate.
