This rating is mainly on their prices and lack of service. As one other person stated, prices are very high. The store is also very cramped. The young girl that works there has the personality of a wet noodle. No one greats you as you walk in. I have been here many times not even a Hello. I asked them to grate some Mezthri cheese. The young girl says they don't do that with a straight non expressive face. She mentions they have grated cheese in the frig in the back. We are aware of the VER SMALL packs which have no packed date or exp date on them. My husband asks the man do they have a grater. He replies yes. However he doesn't do it for the customers. I wanted the large ball to be grated and not the pre grated very small bags. I explained to him I wanted it fresh. His reply is they are fresh. Poor reply, poor customer service. Even Caputos will grate it for you if they have it in stock. I am Greek and most Greeks especially in business are welcoming. They need a lesson in this 1,000 times over. I bought the two tiny packs only because I was in the area. Will not be back to this store...I will travel a little bit further if need be. They are not the only little Greek grocery store.

The old lady with grey/white hair that’s usually at the cashier ruined my first experience here. She doesn’t want to do her job either. I will never return because of how rude she was. Very entitled and not welcoming. The terrible service over powers the food there, there are better places with better employees. She started pushing a vacuum into me without saying excuse me because the floor was dirty which is ironic considering the place stunk. She has bigger things to worry about, INCLUDING THAT ATTITUDE!! If they don’t fire her they can expect to go out of business because of her.

What a horrible horrible lady employee that works here. We just dropped $250 in this shop and were excited to a eat a Greek fresh Tyropita. Unfortunately the flaky crust fell in their floor and this evil and rude women told us ... usually people eat outside. What are we animals? Just ruined our afternoon and never cooking to this horrible store again. There are other Greek shops in chicago. Horrible lady!!!!! Buyers beware. By the way, she was rude and abrupt before we ate Tyropita.

1. the prices are extremely high. you might as well hop on a flight to Greece and import the stuff your self 2. the owner / older lady is very rude and inconsiderate. it's not a comfortable environment to shop in. 3. i was eating a tiropita, which was really good, and the older lady made rude comments while i was eating it and told me i should eat outside in 95 degree weather. outside where? in the parking lot under someone's car?

I’m no Chef, but I love to cook and try different foods from all backgrounds and I found the perfect spot when I am looking for Greek products or prepared foods. I have tried several varieties and have never been disappointed. I especially like the cheese selections they offer. I highly recommend this location.

It has been over a decade since I have been to Minos and I was impressed. My Greek father frequently shopped there, which is the only reason why I had known of this business. They have completed an impressive remodeling of the store and the funky smell from the past is gone. The fresh spinach pie was delicious and much more affordable than frozen spanakopita offerings from other stores. The pickled beets were in a larger jar for the same price as a smaller jar at my local grocery store and their beets did not have high fructose corn syrup, one of the reasons I went in today. I am absolutely going to start routinely going to Minos for some of my groceries from now on. I am so glad they are still in business!

Minos has been around for many years. I believe the owners are siblings of the original owners. The prices and selections are good but the 2 stars I generously gave are because of the reception I received on the phone. I called twice and spoke to two different men, both extremely rude. As much as I love their selection, I cannot stand poor customer service. I think I rather take the long drive and go to Spartan brothers or P and S meats in Chicago. Or even Brillakis in Niles. Done with Minos

I like this location. They generally don't run out of products, employees are friendly and not too busy. Especially with inflation and everything we all have endured the last year, it's nice to be able to get quality products on a budget.
