I was referred to Advantage Moving by my realtor, who was also a past customer. She advised me that they are always early and never late. Boy was she right!
They arrived 5 minutes early. There were 4 movers total. We confirmed the items on my list and did a walk-through. During the walk-through, it became clear that I had grossly underestimated how much stuff I needed. I was assured that I was being billed by the hour, so there was no rush, and I didn’t have to worry.
They disassembled my four beds at the old house, wrapped my living room furniture, and loaded it on the largest moving truck I’d ever seen. When we arrived at my new place, I was so pleased with how well the movers were treating my items that I stopped off and grabbed everyone Gatorade. They put my beds back together at the new home, helped me set everything up, and charged me exactly what they quoted - no more.
I am super pleased with my service and highly recommend Advantage for your moving needs.

Continuity of service was excellent from start to finish with Lee S coordinating and Fabian leading his packing and moving team. Moving across the country is never easy and Lee’s communication was amazing every step of the way. She was always available to answer questions and offer advice to create a seamless process.

We received a postcard from Advantage Moving & Storage an agent for North American Moving Services in early August 2025. I called the office telephone number August 7, 2025 and was scheduled a time to meet Relocation Counselor Jim Schwantz August 8, 2025. Jim arrived at our house on time and we discussed coordinating moving furniture and other household items from Huntley, IL to Red Rock, AZ. Jim was so great, intelligent, friendly and easy to like. We signed the easy to understand contract August 15, 2025 and set a load date as August 25, 2025. Three workmen arrived on August 25 on time and ready to load the truck. Fabian was the leader and driver who knows the moving/loading a truck business very well. The workers were polite and loaded the truck quickly and efficiently. They placed protective paper on the hardwood floors, a ramp on the wood stoop stairs and metal over the doorway thresholds. We had packed the majority of household items in plastic tubs and boxes using the rule, if I cannot lift it, it is too heavy. Any items we were not able to pack were wrapped in moving pads and taped so to be protected including a buffet, dresser and wood bed frames. They really took the extra effort to protect our belongings. Loading the truck took five hours. On September 8, 2025 I received a call from Fabian that he and mover Blake would arrive at our Red Rock, AZ at 9 am September 9, 2025. They arrived on time and again placed protective paper on the tile floors and metal over the doorway thresholds. Unloading took about 2 1/2 hours and went very smoothly. Any items wrapped or disassembled in Illinois were unwrapped or reassembled in Arizona. Absolutely NO furniture or household items broken or missing. Move coordinators Abigail and Lee kept us informed throughout the entire process. So great! Rated five stars for experience, friendlyness and efficient work! If you are moving across town or across states we highly recommend Advantage Moving & Storage/North American Moving Services.

Our move was excellent. The guys worked hard and fast. Ours was a local move which started at 8:00 am and was over by 3:00 pm and there was not one ding or scratch on any pieces of furniture. If I had to do it again I would use this company again and I highly recommend them.

Jim came out and was excellent and professional. He clearly relayed all of the things that needed to be done which other movers did not even cover. I use there service and I pay them 10059 and the mover the mover they gave to me stole from me I have three I phone are missing the movers went through my things while my bags and items while upstairs they are supposed to be helping me to move not steal from me that is crazy. I’m still looking for the phone that I have when I was at my current apartment and I cannot find my I phone when the worker stole from me I move 5/31/2025 Im reporting this Better Business Bureau.

From my first meeting with Lee Scheu, to the final box being put in my new home, the experience was great. Lee helped to make the moving process less stressful. We moved from Algonquin, IL to NC. The estimate process was good, the driver and crews on both ends of the move were excellent, hard working, timely and careful with our items. I feel bad that I can't remember names to recognize and acknowledge each one of the team. Though not the lowest price, it was worth it for the peace of mind with the professionalism throughout the process. Please do not waste your hard-earned money or time on this company! Advantage Moving tears up your furniture and sends you through hoops to file a claim against them. They're not customer-friendly, nor are they price-friendly. This experience has left me traumatized and annoyed. The movers weren't careful and did not respect you or your items. One thing that was truly disheartening was that they would load your things on a truck, and then, before they unloaded them, they made you pay them in full. So, they got your money, and now they can tear up your furniture, fixtures, and clothing without paying you a dime for the damage they caused. I thought people were paid after the job was done. Don't take yourself through this trauma, and find another company. This company should be out of business!
