“The Pink Geranium & Co is my happy place! My mom and I are both big thrifters (treasure hunters) and we are obsessed with the Pink G. Why? Because they price things to move. They have an amazing eye. Their staging is so on point and because their inventory moves quickly, it's like they're re-building their shop every single week. I so appreciate what they do and love going there every week to see the new gems they've found. We've hosted client parties in the shop (we're Realtors) and we often buy gifts here. I can't recommend it enough!”
“Love this store. It’s like a museum. Real vintage pieces and some new. Vintage pieces reasonably priced, new ones(clothing, & accessories) a bit high but good quality items and special. Also, some new specialty house items. Nice Sales rep, place smells amazing and it’s super clean.”
“Love it here. Staff is A+++ and friendly
Remember your face even after months.
Love the beautiful young lady whos always here, friendly , reminds you of their flea markets and mailing list and shes the best.
She makes me feel recognized and appreciated as a customer. They do not spam me with the mailing list.
They got coffee and cookies for free for antiqiarians perusing, chips for $1 all that!!!! You can spend a whole day here.
I would put this in my top 10 antique malls out of 100-500 visited all over the country. Wonderful jukebox, antique pinball, old skool arcade games the works that only come with the finest folk to supply it .”
“This place is such a gem!!! If you live here or are just passing through, you need to check it out! So clean and organized. Lots of fun things!! Steve was so sweet and so knowledgeable. Will definitely be coming back!”
“The store had nicely priced items and such a variety of everything you could think of. Wish they had more refinished furniture items but I understand how people bring items in to be refinished. Really a neat place to look around tho.”
“The first time I stopped in here I decided to look through the old postcards. I found a couple from where my family is in Arizona. When I went to the counter to pay the woman asked if it was my first time in and I said yes. She wouldn’t let me pay for them and told me to take them. It’s rare to encounter people so nice. I really love this shop.”
“Hit up the Railroad store for the first time. Cute location with typical rollercoaster floors, lol. There's 2 floors, well stocked, typical high priced vintage items. Didn't make a purchase this time but I'll definitely return.”
“Excellent assortment of items. Most notable was how clean and dust free it was for an antique shop. No dusty musty old smelly environment. The shop owner was personable and friendly. Prices are very reasonable. I'll definitely be going back to purchase more items.”
“Cute well curated shop that frequently refreshes their offerings. I first found them on the Vintage Shop Hop tour years ago and like to stop by and see what they have when I'm in town. Their holiday items (ALL holidays - Halloween, Valentine's Day, St. Pat's, Easter, etc.) are unique and classy. They've always got a nice assortment of kitchen products, candles, clothing, as well as unique vintage cameras, hardware, and other vintage knickknacks. They have a rewards program, and parking is really easy.”
“Great place with lovely attention to detail and lots to see. Each of the stalls individually owned, lending to both unique and a variety of options in what's being sold and prices.
If you're looking for something special to either decorate your home or find something unique to gift a loved one, this place is a great place to check out.
There are decorations, vintage, and / or unique gifts for adults and kids. A baby gift corner, jewelry, and jewelry repair. A book nook. Special teas and coffees and sauces and more.
Ample parking, with a cute little snack, stop in the back.”
“This little shop is one of the highlights of shopping downtown Elgin. So much variety. I can never go and leave empty handed. Always such great finds there 10/10 recommend. Great staff too!”
“Last two poor reviews (from the same person) of Pete are false regarding “Jim” They don’t even make sense. “Zaolin Co” what?! The proof was in the YouTube video. & the dozens of comments below named your tire shop as scammers. Here’s a 5 star honest review of the trading post. Love your store and your YouTube channel Pete and I’m a customer of yours so this review is legit. Cheers.”
“Find that unique item that starts conversations! Multiple vendors in a rambling building that USED to be the Funeral Parlor downtown. It adds that creaky-wood-floor dynamic that keeps ya moving... in a good way. Follow the footprints so you don't miss anything. Vintage clothing, furniture, knick-knacks, old bar equipment, jewelry, and music, as well as some outdoor decor. Some things are priced reasonably, others not-so-much, but it's a fun way to spend an hour with your buddies and find something different.”
“It's a really cool place to find some really awesome stuff if you're a collector for really anything. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. They do lil events for kids and all. I really like it there.”
